Job Description

>Installing and terminating medium voltage cables
>Conducting fault finding and repairs on medium voltage cables
>Performing routine maintenance on medium voltage cable
systems
>Working on a variety of cables including paper-insulated (PILCA),
plastic-insulated (XLPE).
>Working safely and adhering to all relevant safety regulations
>Minisub station, Pole Mounted Transformer, Ring Main Units,
Indoor Transformer Installations and Repairs.

Skills

As Medium Voltage Cable Jointer FreeTech Electrical requires a range of technical and interpersonal skills, including but not limited to:

>Knowledge of electrical theory and wiring principles
>Proficiency in cable splicing and termination techniques
>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
>Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
>Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces or at
heights
>Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with
customers, supervisors, and other team members
>Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to
work safely in hazardous environments

Education

>Certified copy of ID and Drivers License.
>Certified copy of Electrical Trade Test Certificate.
>Valid ORHVS Certificate (module 1-3)
>Certified copy of Cable Jointing Certificate accredited by EWSETA.

Foreign Qualifications should produce the relevant required documents which Include;

>Certified Copy of valid Passport with a valid Permit.
>Certified copy of Drivers License (converted)
>SAQA Accredited Qualifications

NB. A minimum of 2 years experience of paid work would be required.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 36 months

Salary: R8,500.00 - R14,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
