Grade 12 Explaining of the Senior Certificate (SC) & National Senior Certificate (NSC) pass requirements

A) Higher certificate
For higher certificate endorsement you must have the minimum of 3 level3(40%), 2 level2(30%)and at least 1 level (20%) if you are doing SC since you must have atleast 5 of 6

subjects to pass, 3 level3(40%) and 3 level2(30%) if you are doing NCS since you must have 6 of 7 subjects to pass.

B) Diploma
Diploma endorsement you must have minimum of 4 level3(40%) and 1 level 2(30%) for SC

Minimum of 4 level3(40%) and 2 level 2(30%) for NSC.

C) Bachelor
Bachelor endorsement you must have minimum of 4 level4 (50%)and 1 level2(30%) for SC and 4 level4(50%)and 2 level2(30%)NSC
