Site Foreman
Job Purpose
To become a member of M-Tech Construction’s site based operational team, assisting with daily construction operational duties, aligned with our Standards and Core Values. (See Duties Below)

Essential Qualifications & Experience
 Minimum of 5 years relevant on-site construction industry experience
 Proven track record with contactable references.
 Fluent and Literate in English (Matric as Minimum)
 Tertiary qualification will be preferable.
 Ability to communicate in any other official South African language
 Competence accurately set out works, using a theodolite and /or a dumpy level essential.
 Duties, Responsibilities and Administrative Functions.
 Program, plan & strategize. Analyse and execute based on programmed work activities.
 Labour and Productivity planning: Follow daily construction methods and practices.
 Planning of daily construction activities
 Follow weekly programs
 Weekly staff requirements schedules
 2 Weekly program feedbacks to SA/CM or Contract Director
 Manage administration of daily registers and check lists
 Quality, supervise control quality, ensure work conforms to required specifications and standards.
 Supervision of charge hands & gang bosses
 Sub-Contractor supervision, performance and quality control.
 Clear understanding of drawings, details and design.
 Safety and Housekeeping: Effectively control activities related to safety and housekeeping.
 Control and manage a safe working environment
 Housekeeping management and co-ordination.
 Manage information and construction signage
 Administration: Effectively record day to day events, Contract Instruction control, bulk order call off’s, plant utilization.
 Effective daily diary record
 Contract Instruction documentation, pricing, communication to allow effective Quantity Surveying function.
 Cost control and performance management, positively influence cost management and controls.
 Manage staff, sundry consumables & site running cost.
 Control material waste allowance.
 Control material handling, sorting, deliveries & production waste.
 Administration, implementation of realistic, reasonable & valid contra charges
 Control productivity, especially on plant and staff resources.

Salary – Cost to company will be market related.
