Music always has been my deepest gift to help me feel, process, and let go things…over and over again. And it is one of my favourite passions in life. 🎼But this song came up again randomly this morning - an old fav covered by an old fav! ❤️ Actually one of my favourite songs of all time…and it got me thinking…and brought a tear to my eye. Human beings and our struggles and joys, our inner journeys and outer have always been some of my deepest fascinations. One aspect this exceptional piece of art of a song speaks to for me…is the complexity of love. And the complexity’s of grief. 💔There are some relationships that one will ALWAYS in a sense be grieving - sometimes a parent, sometimes a child, sometimes a friend or foe and sometimes an ex (or even current) lover/partner/husband or wife. It is the way of Life. 😔 Sometimes we grieve what is gone. Other times we grieve what we thought it was, but we’re sadly mistaken, sometimes we grieveing our own denial. Perhaps it includes how ugly it has become during the process. The list goes on. So many nuances! As I said Grief fascinates me. That may sound strange, but it does. It fascinates me because - it is seldom simple. For me, I have learnt grief does not get processed in the linear, ordered way we were first taught. But in any order, at any time - surfaceing quite unexpectedly years down the line lol. Like in the middle of supermarket! 🙈I have noticed that One still tends to process grief over a much longer time than “the world and people around you” find convenient. But truly grief has its own timeline and I have found surrendering to that makes it FAR easier. That way, the in between moments, days, months and years become free to be whatever they needing to be inbetween - unblocked. And the river continues to flow. 💦Allowing in bits of laughter and joy or even just normality to add their part. Sending a big hug to whomever might be needing one now. 🤗 For whatever or whomever you are grieving.

Dear me,
I am sorry. I'm sorry that you tried so desperately to fix others when your own hands were shaking.

I'm sorry that I didn't give you enough time to heal,
That I let you seal the wound of everyone else whilst your own were bleeding.

I'm sorry that there were days when smiling hurt, but you forced yourself to laugh so that no one had to worry about you.

I'm sorry you gave all of your time and effort to people that didn't give the same amount back.

I'm sorry that there were nights when you cried yourself to sleep and no one bothered to understand why.

And I am so sorry that I did not love you like you deserved to be loved.

Living with them as a child caused you to 'collect' their patterns/beliefs/limitations and later as adults when you started doing your inner work you cleared/released those low vibration energies or you are in the process of doing so.

You are energetically connected to your family, no matter how physically distant you are, and whatever you have cleared within yourself, you have cleared for your family many generations ago.
The Light in your energy field also influences their Light."
