Why is Japanese gift wrapping important?
In Japanese culture, gift wrapping can be as important as the gift, where the gift is viewed as a form of communication between the giver and the receiver. ... In short, the wrapping is considered as part of the gift itself and should reflect both the gift being given and the emotions behind the gift. Furoshiki started gaining popularity outside of Japan in the past few years.

Wrapping paper is not just paper. Shiny and glitter-encrusted wrapping paper is especially bad for our oceans. It cannot be recycled and is mostly just microplastics. The glitter pollutes our oceans and ends up being ingested by animals which, over time, will collect in their stomachs and can be fatal.

When you see the word “rPET” it simply means that the PET in the product
you’re looking at, should come from a recycled PET source. In short, rPET takes plastic that has already
been created – usually plastic bottles, and chops these bottles into tiny
flakes. These flakes are then melted to separate the core PET ingredient inside
of the bottle. This PET can then be used
to make any thong from our rPET fabric to another plastic bottle.
