Thinking about ordering an illustration?

There are a few things to consider when you are choosing the photo or photos you would like to use:

1. Image Resolution
Higher resolution pictures allow us to zoom into your image and recreate finer details.

2. Full Length Subjects
Our illustrations are faceless, full body shots give us a better opportunity to capture the subject.

3. Keep it Colourful
We find that images where subjects are wearing either all white, all black or there are many subjects wearing black don't sketch as well images where subjects are wearing various different colours or different shades of the same colour.

4. Order in Advance
We often discuss the illustration and test run some images before starting the design, once we have started we need about 1-2 weeks to finish. If you are considering an illustration it is best to keep this time frame in mind and order in advance.

IN MEMORY OF ALEX GRANGER

One of the final illustrations done last year, as a speaker gift on behalf of to Dr Alex Granger. Alex tragically passed away shortly after recording his talk, he spent his life devoted to sharing knowledge with others and the recorded talk was a beautiful reminder of him, his love for basketball, his love for his son and his passion for sharing wisdom to enrich the lives of others.

How did this ever become an ultimatum?

Something so special about doing illustrations has been capturing people that I love dearly. I was lucky enough to be present at this very special day 4 years ago and I am grateful every day for the beautiful friendship that followed. Needless to say this one of my good friend Kate and her husband on their wedding day has all the feels for me.

The best time to put up your Christmas tree is ...exactly when you want to!

Christmas tip : the more battery powered Christmas lights you have hanging the brighter your load shedding will be !
