VACANCY - COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER (CLO) !!!!

The Renewables Companies is seeking a talented individual to join the team at Zeerust Solar PV Facility and De Wildt Solar PV Facility. The role will report to the respective Community Operations Manager (COM).

The Community Liaison Officer (CLO), based at Solar PV Facility Offices, has the overall responsibility of driving the Companies Socio-economic Development (SED); Enterprise Development (EnD) and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
He/she must be an individual who understands the Companies strategies and its vision for the targeted communities, values and its obligations to stakeholders.

The individual must also have a fair understanding of the socio-economic challenges facing the country and key development strategies on which most SED and EnD programmes are based.

As part of our Integrated School Health Programme, we are enhancing health education, screenings, assessments, treatments, and referrals at primary and high schools.

This programme focuses on providing primary health services to learners, including immunization, vaccinations, deworming, and addressing minor ailments. We've also donated crucial medical equipment to bolster this cause.

In 2023 alone, we've extended over 5,000 healthcare services to students and local community residents in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality through our mobile clinic. Our commitment to enhancing the well-being of the people we support drives us to address immediate healthcare needs, reduce barriers to learning, and promote positive attitudes for better health. 💪

We are pleased that the generator which we funded for Stinkhoutboom Primary School earlier this year, is helping to provide electricity to learners and staff, and making everyone’s lives a little easier.

Our aim is to support communities in need by providing renewable energy solutions.

📣 Exciting Community News! 🌟 Angels are thrilled to announce the appointment of five talented individuals to an exciting new Community Operations Intern Programme! 🎉

Congratulations go to the following successful candidates, who have been recruited as Community Operations Interns as follows:

New Interns (from 2nd left to right) are:

· Charlein Pienaar – Douglas, Northern Cape Province, working with the Boikanyo Community

· Lerato Seago - based in Zeerust, North West Province, working with the Zeerust Community

· Lerato Kgwele - based in Leeudooringstadt, North West Province, working with the Bokamoso Community

· Gomolemo Mogale - based in Brits, North West Province, working with the De Wildt Community

· Christopher Teleko – based in Kathu, Northern Cape Province, working with the REISA Community

🤝 Over the next 18 months, these dedicated individuals, who will be based at their appointed company's local site offices across South Africa, will begin their journies as interns to foster positive change and effect community development.
💬 By engaging in group discussions, participating in accredited training courses and learning through practical activities, these new interns are gearing up to become exceptional Community Development Practitioners!
🌱 Private coaching and mentoring sessions, provided under Angels' wings, will further nurture their skills, empowering them to create meaningful and lasting impact. 🌍

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our collaborative partners and stakeholders for making this internship program possible and for giving Angels Resource Centres the opportunity to implement these programmes and facilitate the training of your new Social Impact Officers!

One of our flagship initiatives is the Agri4change programme, which proudly sponsors five beneficiaries, consisting of four females and one male. This programme aims to support entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector and foster rural enterprise development in areas that need it the most.

HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY!!!

Our beekeeping workshop was designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to start and operate a beekeeping business successfully.

We are incredibly proud to highlight the success story of one of our beneficiaries, Onkarabile Mooketsi, who now sells her honey at a local Pick n Pay store. This remarkable achievement demonstrates that women can excel in activities often perceived as traditionally male-dominated.

That's why we're thrilled to have partnered with the Department of Education and Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality to bring smiles to the faces of young learners with a donation of 800 pairs of school shoes to our local schools.

Newly appointed Community Operations Intern, Lerato Seago, recognises that investing in education is crucial for empowering future generations and nurturing a prosperous community.

“Zeerust Solar’s Economic Development programmes have equipped Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, as well as ECD practitioners with essential resources and training. In addition, learners have benefited from career guidance, leadership programmes, and scholarships. I am committed to building on this impactful foundation and driving Zeerust’s educational landscape to new heights,” she said.

Local government officials such as Mayor Dina Pitso and Counsillor Moseki were present as the 15KVA backup generator was handed over to Stinkhoutboom Primary School.

“Indeed, as promised, you are helping to put the North West Province firmly on the country’s clean power map,” said the Mayor.

The aim of the Skills Development programme dialogue, which was held recently, was to understand the type of support needed by the graduates to be able to further use the skills received from the programme.

The participants have already formed a cooperative, while others are interested in pursuing individual businesses
