Leandra Booysens : actress, writer and producer - Leandra has made been navigating the entertainment space one audition and script at a time.

Being part of a young singers’ group that toured Israel and made the Afrikaans Gospel record, Klankekelante when she was only 10 years old. She then went on to star star in a children’s educational programme for the Phonics brand alongside SA Kwaito Star, Zola 7, clearly the entertainment space has always been for her dwelling.

In 2018 she made her first debut at Melanie Solomons on KykNet’s first original telenovela, Arendsvlei. Leandra is a playwright with over 10 years experience writing, directing and performing; having created over 10 originals. Currently she is a Senior Producer on The Insights Show, which is a live video-podcast studio, broadcasting five daily shows every morning at 9am.

She also hosts the Wednesday morning show called “The Whensday Warm-Up”, which covers topics ranging from pop-culture to politics.

As a creator, evolution for me is the change of characters and relies on the process of natural selection — naturally allowing my mind to sort and select the right emotions, thoughts and actions for every unique character.
