Message from our chairman
We have reached the end of another season and the end of the year
The 2023 season didn’t go by without challenges and difficult times, but we manage to pull through and reach the end
For the first time we had a girl under 10 team participating in the LFAMP girls under 10 league and they did brilliant, ending on top of the log and the process also scored a lot of goals
As expected, and I say that with respect our under-girls’ team walk away for the second year in a row with the league and knockout double and in the process also the goalkeeper of the year award
Our overs girls had a slow start to the season and was 5th in the first round due to a few defaults but pulled themselves together in the second round with one loss only ad that to the champions
Our Rwl team got off to a quick start and was on top till the 7t game of the season when things when a little haywire and ended 5th in the league
As Hotspurs ladies we are proud of all our girls and their achievements it’s not always about winning but we certainly will always celebrate our girls
For the second year we had a player in the national fold when Zoe de K**k was called up for the national under 20 team, she subsequently also signed a professional contract with Namibian pro team Rambler’s ladies, we salute her and wish her everything of the best for the future the sky is the limit for her
We had a few good results in tournaments too with our mixed ladies team under and under 10 girls ending runners up in the Strandfontein tournament, having also the highest goal scorer and player of the tournament
Our under 10 girls went on and won the inaugural LFAMP CUBS girls division winning player of the tournament, most dedicated player and most determine player
And the list goes on, but through all this we kept focus and strive to work harder, and build a team that have values and a sense of family and belonging
2023 may have been tough on us but when we come together as one magic happens, parents’ players and supporters
We had a lot of new girls coming in and that was amazing to see how they slotted in as if they were always part of the team
We surely have to thank our amazing parents for their support you guys made things happen when we needed you and for that e salute you
Our executive members and coaches and managers who offered their time truly great work done by you all from the training ground to match days
Our transport Mr De Roos we salute you for getting the girls to and from games safe and on time yes we had some challenges but thank you so much
Our sponsors, Lewis Stores Head office, City boards, The Rainbow Team and Starter Academy we thank you very much and hope to have your support again in the new season
But as we reach the end of the year and we entering the festive period we want to wish all well over the festive period those who will be on the road we pray for travelling mercies, protection and guidance Those that will be at home take care be safe and stay focus , our wish and prayer is that you all enjoy the festivities and to those celebrating Christmas we wish you all a Merry Christmas enjoy the day with family and friends , and we wish all a happy new year , we hope and pray to see you all back in the new year safe and sound , take care and be safe.

The anticipation is finally over, Cape Town! We are pleased to announce the highly awaited return of the CPT Engen Knockout Challenge, scheduled to take place from 2nd to 3rd September 2023. The tournament will be hosted at the Rooikrans Sports Ground in Grassy Park, Cape Town.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the highly anticipated Cape Town Engen Knockout Challenge has been postponed until further notice. The decision has been made in the interest of ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and attendees.

We have already communicated with the participating teams, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Rest assured, the organizing committee is diligently working on rescheduling the Tournament, and updates will be promptly communicated to all stakeholders.
