A complete innovation was the introduction of the Anzug 75 Uniform (introduced in 1975 ). This was based on the "onion skin system", allowing the soldier to put on warmer layers and take them off again without having to take off the standard adjustment. The color is brown-grey and has the color standard specification "RAL 7013" of the RAL color register.
The field shirt made of a brown-grey cotton blend has breast pockets and epaulettes. Since 1990, a fleece strip has been sewn onto the field shirt over the right breast pocket, to which a name tag can be attached.
In 1992, a nationality badge was introduced to identify Anzug 75 as the army uniform. This badge is sewn onto the left upper arm and contains the inscription "ÖSTERREICH - BUNDESHEER" ( Austrian - Federal Army ) as well as the federal coat of arms.
A genuine and sincere yet very brawny piece of uniform, very diverse in modern day application. Thick and tough to the touch, vintage quality built to last for years of hard labour; can be worn as a shirt or a jacket.
The Field Shirt was officially retired in 2003. The Austrian Army is one of the last to adopt a camouflage system.
