Getting them in early and gently are at the top of our priority list come harvest day, which is why you won’t see any big bins or speed picking. After a year’s worth of love and nurture it would be silly to compromise on quality or expression now…

Today owner, Gerard de Villiers, winemaker, Reynie Oosthuizen, our dedicated vineyard team and everyone else here on Kleinood raise our glasses to the South African wine industry which came into existence exactly 365 years ago today, as diarised by Jan van Riebeeck himself!

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of what those first few barrels of wine matured into over the many years since - a industry all can be of 🇿🇦😊

Collectively we’ve graced the glasses of kings and queens, been paired at the finest restaurants the world over and, probably most importantly, swirled in sunsets uncountable while someone lit the braai…

We want to thank everyone, near and far, for their support. Cheers to another 365! 🥂
