Where it all began ✨ I’m still waiting on a couple Funkos to arrive then my year 1 display will be finished 🎊 and I can finally do a shelf tour 🤣

You’ve probably noticed that I haven’t bought any POPS in a loooong while ☺️

That’s because I’m actively saving money for something super exciting for next year. As soon as I know next year is a go, I’ll let you all know what’s happening. ☺️

It’s been super hard not buying as much 😅 Luckily with the delays from Funko I have about 12 Funkos still on their way, which have all been paid ages ago ☺️ So I’ll get my fix at least 🤣

Have any of you gone cold turkey with buying for your collection? Any tips on sticking with it? 😅😅

🚨 New DIY Alert 🚨 Soooo, I wasn’t actually planning on doing this DIY for a long time still 😅 BUT I recently found a shop that sells Balsa wood. There has been a Balsa shortage in SA so I had to buy it 😏😂

My parcel arrived earlier this week and the wood just stood here mocking me…😅I had to see if it’ll work.

I’ve never worked with Balsa before so this has been a new learning curve for me, but I have to say it’s super easy and super fun!!

The second image is my reference pic. I’ll be adding more drawers, books, shoes and obvs the jacket too. I’m super looking forward to completing this project 🔨

It’s going to take some time still, but thought I’d share the progress of it so far. Will eventually post the build on YouTube, but first need to finish the vertebrae candle 😅 Stay tuned to my Stories as I’ll be sharing more progress there ☺️

PS: I chose the scale of the suitcase in regards to the wood thickness and what I think I’ll be able to do with the jacket and shoes. Smaller would have been a bit of a reach for a first time 🤣😅

Love how this 3 tier DIY stand came out. These stands fit quite well with the Funkos and it’s almost like they show off a bit better. What do you guys think?

Had a blast designing and making the pencil holder & calendar cards ☺️🔨

I already have a super cool Weasleys pencil holder for my work desk, but I needed a cool separate one for my brushes, clay tools and whatever else I use in my DIYs ☺️

The reason I can’t cram everything in to one is that my cat (the big one) loooooves chewing on any brush 😅 “Brushes have plastic covers” you might say. True, but Achilles can (very gently) remove them, place them aside and proceed with the mission 🤣🤣

So yeah, luckily now I can place the holder in my arts supply cupboard while the brushes dry at the end of every creative day. ☺️
