protecting and preserving the music of the people who inspire me is a thing that is very close to my heart. the list is really long so i wont write it, but i do take absolute pleasure in learning it as it is and finding ways to preserve it. i think the best way to do that is to play this music because we are slowly becoming the custodians of something that is ancient and beyond us. so im proud to announce this version of phando lu phelile by madosini who was instrumental (no pun intended) in exposing me to African bow instruments like the makhweyana which then evolved into a love for the guitar. it is because she is that i am. thank you mama!!!
