A fabled Robbie Dye himself, from the halcyon days of Hawick rugby, and now simply the greatest ground man in the land, David (Davy) Cranston.
We caught him out this morning marking the hallowed turf for tomorrows game vs GHA.
Thank you sometimes just doesn’t cover it….you are a legend sir! We are all eternally grateful for everything you have done, and continue to do for Hawick RFC.💚🏉👍🏻

Barnes should not referee France tests!!!
Uini Atonio has been banned for France's three upcoming Six Nations games after his hit on Rob Herring on Saturday.
Atonio was initially only sent to the sin-bin by referee Wayne Barnes. The prop was cited after the game, however, and has now been handed a three-week ban (tailored to his upcoming schedule)
The citing review said: "Having acknowledged there were no aggravating factors and mitigating factors including the player’s immediate admission of guilt, his exemplary disciplinary record and genuine remorse, the committee reduced the six-week entry point by three weeks, resulting in a sanction of three weeks (to be served as the following given the player’s upcoming schedule): 26 February 2023 - France v Scotland, 11 March 2023 - England v France, 18 March 2023 - France v Wales)"

WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE...
25 years ago on this day during the 1st Test against Pakistan played at Johannesburg, South Africa were on 166/8 when Pat Cymcox walked into bat. When he was dismissed as the 9th wicket score was at 361. He made 108 runs & thus became the third batsmen to score a Test century batting at no 10. At the same time he added 195 runs for the 9th wicket with Mark Boucher who also made 78 runs. Till this day it remains as the world record for highest 9th wicket partnership in Test cricket. The game however ended in a draw.

Not surprisingly, French prop Uini Atonio has been cited for his 'tackle' on Rob Herring on Saturday afternoon that saw him sin-binned (though not red carded) Atonio will plead his case in front of a cititng commisioner tomorrow afternoon
