Just finished up this beautiful sun slatted indoor/outdoor ceiling makeover for a happy client in ST James. We used Brazilian hardwood “Masaranduba” decking boards and ripped them into thinner strips to create a calm, tranquil space by reducing the harsh light.

Throwback to this doggy ramp we built in fishoek last year 🐾 client had two old doggos that needed easier and safer access to the bottom garden. The owners are allowed to use it too 😄

Built this beautiful pergola for a happy client in muizenberg. Was such a fun build. Learned some more crafty tricks of the trade as usual from the OG Hennie .

I’m always collecting scrap wood and offcuts from wherever I can get them. Ive decided to start finding cool things I can make to avoid throwing away or wasting any of it.

On that note, here’s my first up-cycled project. Planter boxes. I’ll be doing a lot of these for the garden and going to try all sorts of designs to keep it interesting.

We managed to remove and rebuild the substructure before re installing these 8 year old, sun beaten, solid Garapa decking boards. Can’t believe they still in such good condition after 8 years of unprotected sun tanning 😄

Hello and welcome to my new business portfolio 🔨 Since I arrived in Cape Town earlier this year, I’ve been working with Hennie who welcomed me with open arms into his Business, Transition Timbers.

Over and above the carpentry, decking and building knowledge he has shared with me in such a short time, I have learned so much about myself and been reminded of how grateful I am to be able to do what I do.

On that note, I will be launching my own small business again like I once had in Johannesburg - this time il have Hennie from Transition timbers on my right and beautiful capetown on my left. That’s a pretty dangerous combination ⚒
