The Mavhuradonha Wilderness is a 600 sq km remote area of wild and untouched beauty located in Northern Zimbabwe. The name loosely translates to "Land of falling water" or "waterfalls" owing to a number of streams and rivers which form waterfalls (including the Sohwe Falls) as they cascade down the escarpment with their watery tribute to the Zambezi.

The area is dominated by the Mavhuradonha Mountains which form part of the Southern Zambezi Escarpment. Of note is the pronounced Musengezi Gorge, which is a scenic incision of the Musengezi River as it cuts its course across the range. A relatively dense alluvial woodland thrives in the river's nutrient-rich oxbow lake and boasts of tree species such as Kigelia africana and Trichilia emetica.

The wilderness' farness has proven to be a blessing in disguise to a variety of flora and fauna which now flourish in the area with little to no human interference.
