You might see Impalas so many times, but have you ever really LOOKED at them?

The wounds, the love & affection, the little heart shapes around their feet, a newborn's umbilical cord...

These photos aren't great, but they capture what so many people miss because they've seen them already...

Those stripes... 😍😍

KNP & Marloth Park photos earlier this year. In Marloth, they are so tame they eat apples from your hand!

Had a super AMAZING Lion sighting today! Just us and them about 5m from the vehicle.

When you look through the lense, you just notice things and see things differently...

If you view these photos quickly in succession, you'll see the fish being "tossed & turned" for the best possible angle to be swallowed.

This made me fall in love with photographing birds now too! (And I'm not a "birder"...)

Yesterday we had two AMAZING lion sightings!

The second sighting was the best with the 3 male lions less than 3m from the car next to the road! So close I could take pictures of its paw. And when they roar it is just such a hair-raising experience.

It's when you stop and pause that you notice things that you thought you'd seen a thousand times, but you see the detail a little differently...

Battle scars that became survival scars...

I love giraffes, but I find them the most difficult to photograph! Just check out the vein on its neck!

It was fascinating to see how carefully they approached this duel...not fighting but rather just testing the opponent.

The Pearl Spotted Owlet...

With a length of 17 to 21 cm, the Pearl-Spotted Owlet is one of Africa's tiniest owls. Males weigh ±100g and is slightly larger than females, weighing only 65g.

Definitely not the most beautiful animal, yet they always seem so humble, as if praying.

It was an amazing day that day... And a magical experience at a hide where the rhinos were between 5 and 10m away, at most.

I managed to capture one's eye as it was SO close and in that magical, almost overwhelming moment it just stared at me with what seemed to be a great sadness...
