Chinese Taipei returns to top of WBSC/KONAMI Baseball5 World Ranking - World Baseball Softball Confederation Previously world No. 2, Chinese Taipei last held top spot on 16 November. Tunisia reached its highest ever ranking, and the highest of any African nation in a WBSC/KONAMI World Ranking, by climbing to No.2

Congratulations to our GPBC players who made the SA B5 team. Well deserved. Wishing you all the best in Cape Verde 🖐🏻
We try again. Hopefully 3rd time lucky will allow us to host our players in their efforts to make the senior South African Baseball5 team to travel to Cape Verde in February 2024 to compete to be recrowned as champions of Africa and earn their tickets to the B5 World Cup.
We look forward to these trials on Wednesday.

🚨 CHANGES TO PROGRAM 🚨
Due to venue restrictions, we are moving the entire B5 Inter-District Championship to Saturday (23 September 2023).
All age groups will now compete throughout the day with the juniors (U12 & U15) from 9:00 - 13:30 and the seniors (U18 & adults) from 14:00 - 20:00.

Join Baseball5 - GPBC this weekend as we host our first Gauteng Inter-District Championship at Hoerskool Montana.
The Championship will take place on 23 and 24 September for the U12,15,18 and senior age groups.

We recently held an open B5 session at Boksburg Cardinals Baseball Club, where boys and girls from local teams took turns competing against members of the South African U18 B5 team.
Several aspiring Game Officials were put through their paces too.

WBSC releases new Baseball5 rulebook, game management system ahead of inaugural WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup All changes go into effect immediately and will be enforced in any major international event, including the maiden edition of the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled from 10 to 15 October in Ankara, Türkiye.

We are expecting some hard-fought matches between the teams.

This past weekend saw the Alexandra Schools Baseball Program host its first Festival.
The festival brought together around 80 boys and girls from surrounding schools for a day of intensive and competitive B5 over two days in the U15 and U18 age groups.
Most importantly, several the players caught the eyes of selectors and coaches for potential selection to the national team.
Well done to all involved for putting together a fantastic showpiece for B5 in Gauteng.

Join us at the Altrec Sports Ground on 1 & 2 September 2023 for the Annual Schools B5 Tournament hosted by the Alexandra Schools Baseball Program.
The tournament brings together boys and girls from different schools and baseball clubs in Alexandra.
