SASA High School Champs, Paarl. Megan 3rd in the 1500m G15 with a new PB of 4:43!

ASA u16-u23 Champs. We were not busy on FB this athletic season because we were busy on the track. Well done to these boys for running their hearts out this season.

Great to support our athletes from the past that are still running. Rynard is busy with his 3rd year at Wake Forest and Daniël is almost done with his masters at the University of Arkansas.

Two gold medals at the Interprovincial in Secunda! Megan ran a “perfect” 800m and Chanél jumped 1:60! Congratulations also to coach Julia du Plessis.

NWU TOP 30. Ek is so trots op hierdie seuns. Brennan, Liam, Kevin en Caden het die hele dag in die hitte van Potch gewag vir die hindernis wedloop en met reuse PB’s het hulle 3456 punte vir HS Randburg gemaak!
Dan die “ou” manne. Marco en sy jarelange vriend op die atletiekbaan het Vrydag hul heel laaste wedloop vir hul skool gehardloop. Julle 2 het altyd jul beste gegee en is n voorbeeld van die gees waarin atletiek moet plaasvind. Asseblief, hou aan hardloop.

A dream (that I never even thought of) came true. I was appointed by ASA as team coach of the ASA team that are competing at the WA Road Running Champs in Riga, Latvia on Sunday. I applied for this to support our athletes to the best of my ability! Go team SA🇿🇦

Busy Saturday! CGA Champs Kagiso, WA Champs Budapest and UIPM Laserrun World Champs Bath. Thank goodness it was all in relative the same time zone! Congratulations to Megan on a fantastic 3rd place in the Laserrun.

CGA League 3. Athletes from HS Randburg Atletiek Klub running their hearts out at a windy Dobsonville.

Inter Distrik by Rietvlei. Ty was ons junior seuns uitblinker en het byna elke liga gewen. Tydens die Inter Distrik het Ty en Caden 1e en 4e van die Northerns District span gekom en die silwer medalje vir die Distrik verower. Welgedaan julle 2!

Inter liga span finale. Ons is so trots op elkeen van die Randburg atlete wat vandag hul beste gegee het vir hul span. Die junior seuns was 3e en die senior seuns 5e. Daarby het die baie onervare junior dogter span n 6e plek behaal!

Capemilers Endurocad 24 April.
Carina Viljoen wins the Endurocad Achieve Miler in a time of 4:34 (regarded as a “dream mile”) for women and qualified for the ASA team to the WA Road Running Championship in Latvia end of September

Cape Milers Endurocad Continental Tour. The 3000m win, the face says it all. Great time for Carina Viljoen of 8:58 on home soil.

ASA SA Senior Champs Potchefstroom.
Carina Viljoen improving on her 1 x silver medal in the 1500m during the Champs in 2022; bringing home 2 x silver medals in the 1500m and 5000m. Running both events on the same day was tough, but we are pleased with the result.
