An Update:

The start of the week was a bit shaky. Transport was only able to leave on Tuesday (the 12th) and there was a delay on the way too. That didn't discourage us, the excitement of getting to Flagstuff and remembering why we are doing this kept our hopes up.

Phelokazi arrived in Flagstuff on Thursday (the 14th) and Day1 of the programme was on Friday (the 15th). The Children helped with unpacking the toys and materials we received.

The weekend was filled with tons of fun and interactive activities. We played rugby, the rain came and that didn't stop the children! We did some colouring activities and did group activities too.

The reception we received was great! The children were so eager to take part and how we've been supported has been really encouraging.

We have a total of 6 big packed bags, 1 box, 2 toy boxes and a bean bag. This is really great!

The support we've received is amazing and we're really excited to interact and engage with the children and their communities.

Feel free to message us with any questions or for ways in which you can continue supporting us.

We truly appreciate all the donations and support we've received. Thank you!

It has been 3 weeks since we started collecting toys and receiving donations. The response has been overwhelming for us.

Thank you to everyone who has given so far, we really do appreciate it all. We have 7 days until the toys make their way to the Eastern Cape. Which is great, there's still time to donate. No donation is too small.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or for more information. We'd love to partner up with you!

Here's an update on how to remain in contact with us.

Donate to the Toy Library. Give underprivileged children the opportunity to play and be kids 🙏🙏🙏

Trauma has a great impact on children. It effects their ability to regulate their emotions, sleep difficulties, lower immune function and increases the risk of physical illnesses throughout adulthood.

Play helps children deal with mental health and emotional issues, it is used as a medium. It creates a safe space for them to express their thoughts and feelings. It also facilitates the development of self-esteem, problem-solving and healthy coping skills.

Help us in ensuring that every child is able to have a space where they can be a child. Where the traumas of their life can be processed. Donate to our toy box, so that we can reach more children.
