We are pleased to announce that from 2022 onwards, an annual prize will be awarded for the best research paper published in the Journal of Heritage Tourism for the previous year, based on its contribution to the heritage tourism research literature, as judged by the Journal editors and representatives of the Editorial Board. The winning paper(s) will be made available free of charge for a year, and the winning author(s) will receive a year’s online gratis subscription to the journal.
The Dallen Timothy Best Paper Award for the Journal of Heritage Tourism has been named in honour of the Journal's Founding Editor, Professor Dallen Timothy of Arizona State University.
The award for 2022 for papers published in 2021 has been given jointly to two research papers, with a third paper awarded as runner-up (highly commended):
