The state of Park Rynie.
The new appointed Mayor of Umdoni Municipality speaks a lot about service delivery issues.
What is sad that these councilors have been in office for more than 4 years and have done absolutely nothing to make any changes in service delivery in our towns.
Our complaints have received very little response.
We have made several requests to the MM to engage with us so that we can find a solution to this impasse but nothing has materialized.
We will continue to engage with the Municipality to get restore our town.
Ratepayers are sick and tired of the poor services received and the promises made.

All these matters have been raised with Umdoni Municipality.

These photos were taken this week. The Umdoni Municipality has still not started repairing the potholes , dysfunctional street lights and maintenance to the beach toilets.
December holidays is just around the corner and we don't see much improvement in our town.

Renovations to toilets still not complete. Lights are in a terrible state. We are heading closer to the holiday season and these facilities must be complete and ready for visitors.

No dumping sign by Umdoni Ignored.
Today between 8:45 to 9:00 a white bakkie was found dumping grass cuttings in bags on the back of Rocklyn Drive. The vehicle belonged to a contractor deployed by Umdoni Municipality.
It is sad that no oversight is done by Umdoni Municipality to check what contractors do.
We are trying to keep our area clean but the very same people employed by Umdoni municipality are breaking the bylaws. This matter has been reported to Umdoni Municipality and our Ward Councilor.
We ask residents to be alert and report incidents of this nature so that we can keep Park Rynie clean.

Letter to UGU regarding our concerns in Park Rynie.

Shocking state of our towns under Umdoni Municipality.

We make an appeal to the Umdoni Municipality Parks and Gardens Department to remove all cuttings from our verges and Park.

If we all can do our bit for the environment we can have a clean town that we can appreciate. Kindly remove your dirt , don't expect Umdoni Municipality do to your cleanup.To those of u who keep your frontage and verges clean a big thank u to u.

This road is the back road of Rocklyn Drive.
It's now a dumpsite.
We have brought this to the attention of Umdoni Municipality on numerous occasions but not a single attempt or response from the officials to restore this road.
Please report all dumping to Umdoni Protection Services or SAPS.

The shocking state of our town.
Park Rynie once a beautiful town on the South Coast is now in a deplorable state due to the poor service delivery from Umdoni Municipality.
The Umdoni Municipality is in serious crisis but is in denial.
Not a single service is properly executed.
There is total lack of management and supervision of service.
Not a single pothole has been repaired.
Grass in the Park is cut ,heaped and burnt.
No bylaws are followed.
Who are these contractors who cut grass and dump them in the stream.
Bags of grass cut and left for months not picked up.
Street lights are dysfunctional and never repaired.
Our grave site is in a terrible state.
Our verges and Pedestrian walkways are not cleaned and Pedestrians have to wall on the road.
Our stormwater drainage system is clogged and never cleaned.
Ugu never fixes leaks and road damage due to repairs never restored.
The Municipal Manager never responds to written complaints.
The Mayor paints a rosy picture of Umdoni at press meetings.
A site visit of our towns needs to be done by the press together with Umdoni officials and the community.
2024 is around the corner and the public will have their say.
We cannot live under these conditions and expect to continue to pay our rates.

We make an appeal to Umdoni Municipality to clean up the rest of the pavements in Park Rynie.

Before any serious accidents occur, we make an appeal that all other Manhole covers be replaced with a concrete cover.
