I follow loads of nail pages on Facebook and it’s come to my attention that, firstly.. there are tons of unqualified nail technicians out there.
There are woman asking questions that they shouldn’t be asking if they are already working on woman’s nails, these are things they should know.

There are so many self taught techs using Chinese products, there is absolutely nothing wrong with teaching yourself a trade. In these dire times, people are needing two if not three to keep up financially.
But I need to explain a few very important things.

There are more allergic reactions than ever before with nails. When you buy Chinese you buy cheap!
When you buy a cheap chocolate there are way more preservatives, in order to make it cheap it is cheap. When you want to buy a “healthier” Lindt chocolate, it’s more expensive because the process and the product is higher quality.
When you buy a cheap alcohol, it is way less refined, it’s horrible and roughly distilled.
It is very different to your top end alcohols that we so love to splurge on, on the week.
We don’t go buying moonshine.

SO … when it comes to nail products, the cheaper the products the less quality it is of course!
HEMA !!!! Remember this word
HEMA is a crucial product that helps a product stick to your nails, HEMA is also added excessively to cheap product to stretch the product to create more of it for a cheaper price. But it’s to your healths expense!

When you study you learn a certain standard, a basic standard, you learn about fungus, molds, you learn about basic health care, sterilization, sanitation is so important in the salon.
I absolutely want to cringe at what woman are asking on these groups, I’ve seen so much nail allergies and infections and they have absolutely no idea, they post pics of these nails asking for advice on what to do.

The point to this is, there are loads of super affordable nail technicians , there are loads of woman and even men doing nails.
But do your research and make sure when your fingers start to itch or burn, know that that is not normal and you need to find a healthier solution for your nails.
