RECRUITMENT: We are expanding and are looking for Emergency CCTV Control room operators.

Qualifying criteria:

Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration

Fluent in English (Able to Read, Speak and Write at First Language level - You will be speaking to clients.)

Experience working in a control room within the Safety & Security industry (Minimum 2 years).

Actual experience using applications(software) that deals with CCTV [Video Management Systems], ALARMS and OB's.

Prior experience speaking to clients on a daily basis.

[We will review people coming from a call centre or Retail background based on experience and duties within prior roles]

THERE IS A LANGUAGE TEST & COMPUTER TEST

Able to work shift work (Monday to Sunday. Day and Night Shifts included). Must be a South African Citizen with a valid ID document. (PSIRA required) Experience in MS Word, Outlook and intermediate PC literacy.

Housebreaking suspect ARRESTED

In the early hours of this morning, our CCTV operators received an alert for a suspicious individual loitering outside a client's property.

The operator monitored the individual on our live view system and observed that he walked away from our client's property but then began forcing the gates of a neighbouring property open. The suspect squeezed himself through the gates to gain access to the property.

The operator immediately dispatched Avenue Response Team and the SA Police service, who arrived within minutes and caught the suspect in the yard of the neighbouring property.

The suspect was arrested for trespassing and attempted housebreaking.

I must commend the operators for ensuring that even neighbours of our clients are kept safe and secured. Our offsite monitoring CCTV systems put criminals behind bars daily across our monitored sites in Cape Town & Johannesburg, says Jacques Weber, WTG Director.

Excellent work by the MCW patrolmen. Following up on an armed robbery at Spar, MCW patrollers and supervisor gave chase into a Tygerhof and successfully arrested two suspects and recovered one firearm.

This month marks five years of WatchTower! We are also delighted to announce that construction of our new Smart Detection Control Centre and HQ has begun. We will be relocating to No 1 Thibault – Cape Town’s latest relaunched prime commercial space.

In our five years of business, we have become one of the most trusted and leading Offsite CCTV Monitoring Companies within both Cape Town and Johannesburg - securing and protecting residential, commercial and industrial properties. For this, we are truly honoured.

Our new offices and Emergency & Smart Detection control room will enable us to continue to ensure the highest level of protection for our clients with three times the space of our current facilities. The additional space will allow us the opportunity to launch several new exciting projects in 2022.

Whilst on a routine patrol to check on our officers, one of our area managers spotted a woman running and heard her screaming for help. She stated that this male pictured below, broke into her car and she was chasing after him……. Our area manger was able to spot him and stopped him after a small foot chase. Our control room dispatched SAPS to his location and he was promptly handed over to them for further investigation.

Cape Towns leading Offsite Smart Detection CCTV is now in Gauteng.

After a number of requests from clients based both in the Western Cape and Gauteng - we are now operational in Gauteng.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION:

Unfortunately one of our officers was attacked in his home 2 nights ago and his company Jacket and his Cap was stolen.

He is fine and uninjured, thankfully.

CRIME THWARTED - Officer appreciation: This month's Empire officer and his Shift Supervisor receiving a special recognition and appreciation gift from the client after the officer had identified a spotter keeping an eye out for his criminal colleague who was attempting to break into a vehicle outside the property. The officer notified his supervisor and team members and proceeded to investigate further catching the suspect and detaining him and his spotter red handed handing them over to the S.A.P.S with full supporting evidence of the crime. Well done to the Officer and Supervisor! Thank you for your service!
