Have you ever experienced a rollercoaster of emotions to a point that you either didn't know what to do at the time or did something you later regretted?! I'm sure some of you relate.
Truth is, we experience emotions on a daily and this makes it more important for us to be able to manage them, and thats exactly what we explore in this workshop, regulating our emotions. We hope to see you on Thursday for this exciting session.
Being a student comes with diverse demands, both academically and personally which can be stressful and overwhelming at times, and during these times we tend to sideline our wellbeing or not even have time to attend to it. We are happy to let you know that amidst the busy times, we support you in tackling stress and better managing it through our weekly workshop, just 1 hour on a weekly basis, doable right?!

In commemorating Mandela Day, we joined in with some action for our community where we dedicated this day to the NMB community, also noting that they are our stakeholders and support our students in different ways. We paid a visit to MES (PE), which is a homeless shelter in Korsten, accommodating clients from 18 years to the elderly with diverse backgrounds and challenges. The organisation is not funded and depends on donations. We are happy to have been given an opportunity to contribute and give back to the community, exercising Ubuntu in the broader space of our community.
"Mandela Day is an annual global celebration that takes place on 18 July to honor the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. This day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organizations to take time to reflect on Mandela's values and principles and to make a positive impact in their own communities."
Tell us in the comment section, how are you taking action in your different spaces?
Still not clear about our intake procces also known as the "booking system"? Don't worry, we've got got you.

We just want to thank student housing for the opportunity to engage with our residence superheroes. We tend to take lightly what the student leaders invest in leading students but they get exposed to different situations and sometimes it takes a toll on them. We just want to let you know that we see you, we appreciate you.
The team at 2nd Ave was out and about, sometimes you just need someone to remind you that you've got this and are very much capable. That what this was all about, we hope that you were motivated and inspired as we understand how overwhelming exams can be.
Best of luck to everyone writing exams and working on continuous assessments.

How many of us really focus on being in the here, in the now without worrying about the past/future.
Being present in the moment is a state of mindful awareness where you fully engage with what is happening right now, without being distracted by thoughts of the past or worries about the future. It's about immersing yourself in the here and now, appreciating the richness of each experience as it unfolds.
We unpack the role this has on our mental health on and how we can be joyous in the now.
