We are excited to announce that the National Aerobatic Championships for South Africa will be held in the "Groot Voël paradys"- Oudsthoorn this year.
Not only will we receive our yearly fix of prestigious flying, but we are also celebrating 50 years of the SAC club.

A look back at our North West Regionals that was held this past weekend at Klerksdorp Airfield. ✈️
Even though we only had 5 entries for the competition and one graduate, we still saw some talented flying over the weekend. This competition was also the last Regionals before our National Aerobatic Competition in Oudsthoorn next month. This will be one to remember since the Sport Aerobatic Club is turning a golden 50 years on the 19th of October 2024.
The North West Regionals results 🏆
Advanced Overall:
1st place Warren Eva 77.68% (Yak 55)
2nd place Cliff Lotter 73.6% (Yak 55)
Intermediate Overall:
1st place Ingmar Bezuidenhout 70.9% (Zlin 50)
2nd place Quentin Taylor 60.8% (Extra 300)
Sportsman Overall:
Wim Kotze 81.82% (Yak 52)

Looking back on some moments at the Freestate Regionals Aerobatic Competition held at New Tempe Airfield in Bloemfontein.
With a total of 9 competitors, we definitely saw a lot of talented flying.
With lots of excitement, everyone watched the One Design take to the skies for its first competition, and definitely did not disappoint.
We thank the organisers for hosting the event, all the pilots from near and far, and the judges for all the effort to make this a memorable event.
Freestate Regionals Results 🏆
Unlimited Overall:
1st Place Barrie Eeles with 75.2% (Extra 330SC) 👏
2nd Place Gary Glasson with 74.5% (One Design)
Advanced Overall:
1st Place Tristan Eeles with 77.8% (Extra 330SC)

Finally Bonzai (our Res Clown) Elton arrived at the venue - starting out with the FSM (feel sorry for myself) award 🥉 cos he actually got lost that’s why he was delayed 🤷♂️ but he’s on full form I tell u these guys dunno what hit them😂😂😂
Anyway the teams in great spirits with Bookie and Billy bringing in some ‘gees’ 💪
We all flying really well and the planes are making friends with us (u know these broncos in USA)🤪😂 we taming them🤷♂️ So tame that our SC got a technical so it could take a rest 😂😂 but we will Klap it back out the Barn this morning.
I’m proud of these two boys with me they peaking just at the rite time💪😎 we are in with a shout💥 flying solid aeros - conditions are really Kak - virtually no clean horizon ref and the box can’t even be Called a doos - cos a doos is usually big😂😂
But all teams have the same and we handling it better - the frenchies are always bleating(still moaning about the rugga) too - thanks bokke for the head start😂
