Kinderkinetics is a profession that aims to promote and optimise the neuro-motoric development of young children (0-12 years), through scientifically based physical activity. Every child’s individual needs are determined through scientifically based evaluations. These one-on-one sessions consists of tailored programs that are designed to suit the developmental and physical needs of your child in a
The kids think we are PLAYING, but we know that we are DELEVOPING🤸🏻♂️🤽♂️🏃🏼♀️
Children should be able to jump with both feet at the same time on the spot at the age of 2 years. However, with the introduction of more TV and less walking to and from shops, we encourage jumping with both feet by 4 years of age.
In my opinion, children should be able to jump with both feet in a forward direction (like this photo) at the age of 5 years.
I often get asked by teachers "what does jumping have to do with reading and writing".
A lot actually...
Jumping uses the part of the brain called the cerebellum. This part of the brain is responsible for our gross motor skill of balance, as well as focus, concentration, and attention.
Children who typically find it difficult to jump and balance, may also find it hard to focus, and may be easily distracted in the classroom because their cerebellum isn't receiving the stimulation and oxygen that it needs for optimal function.

REFLEX INTEGRATION plays a vital role in the development of our children
From infancy, the reflexes are vitally important for proper development of the brain, nervous system, body and sensory systems. Some reflexes are meant to stay with us our whole lives. Others are designed to be dormant after their function is fulfilled.

LOW MUSCLE TONE
A Kinderkineticist will do an evaluation when a child presents with symptoms of Low Muscle Tone, to assess the developmental status of the child.
An exercise program will then be designed with the aim to lay a solid motor foundation. This is important to support further development and to sustain a good posture.
"Exercise your BRAIN by moving your BODY, move your BRAIN by exercising your BODY."
This is your brain. No, not just the yellow bulbous mass at the top of the image, but all of the tendrils that reach down and out to the very extremities of your body. It cannot be separated, but it can be forgotten and abused.
Exercise your brain by moving your body, move your brain by exercising your body.
