Masked Weavers for Melkbos Ateljee with Escap3 Gallery
I love watching these boisterous birds build their nests while doing their mad upside down courting ritual. When there’s a bunch of them they’re quite deafening but always entertaining!
Two years ago Tom, the Mousebirds and I went on an epic road trip to see the West Coast Spring Flowers and take Luna back his home town for his birthday. That year was said to be the best bloom in 50 years and a once in a lifetime experience! This year is said to be just as good. If you’re toying with the idea of going up the coast for the flowers, don’t hesitate! do it! even just for the day. There is another drought on the way so it may not happen again for a while. On your way, stop in at Melkbos Ateljee too and see some art.
I thought this was a good time to reshare this video we made about our aforementioned trip 🙂 Enjoy!
Mousebird Flower Safari Tom & I go on a charming funny road trip with the mousebirds to see the Namaqualand flowers and find Luna's hometown of Aurora for his 2nd birthday
