All schools will be officially closed for a month from the 18th of March 2020 due to the Covid19.
As parents who have been homeschooling for 7 years now here are our suggestions for this period.
1. Invest in reading material and board games for the kids as play dates are slowly becoming completely out of the question.
2. Most learning will move from the classroom to an online platform, be prudent in limiting screen time still.
3. Establish a new routine and stick to it.
4. Prepare the educational work ahead.
5. Invest in new hobbies or skills the kids can learn and spend time on.
6. If you need tutors for the kids to assist with learning while you are at work get in touch with us.
7. If the school your child attends will not be providing work to do at home get on the DBE website and dowload the curriculum for your child's grade, print the worksheets at work and plan how much work will be done each day.
8. Communicate with the whole family and household for a smooth transition as you adjust to life in the present times of Covid19
