It’s been 1 year since MVMNT was born. 1 year in our beautiful studios, making amazing memories together through dance. This year exceeded all my expectations!

Our Story

Pulzation dance studio opened it’s doors in January 2005 at our Boskruin studio situated in Randburg. In 2011 we opened up a second branch in Ruimsig Roodepoort.

Gia Rootman, owner and director of Pulzation dance studio opened these studios as she had a passion for dance as well as teaching children, so she thought it would be amazing to combine both of her loves! Gia is a licentiate member of the (SADTA) South African dance teachers association as well as an associate of the IDTA of London for more than 20 years now. She is also an adjudicator. Her purpose is to make any child feel that they have the ability to dance, to make an impact in their dance career as well as to improve and build their emotional well being!

Gia was the the very first dance teacher in South Africa to teach hearing impaired children. She taught at St. Vincent’s school for the deaf in Rosebank for over 5 years. She also teaches dance education at private schools.
