So here is some great ⭐ news for salt lovers 💗

Firstly, it’s an essential mineral but best 👌🏼 of all, reducing ⏬ your salt intake does not mean you need to sacrifice on flavour 😋

I’ve started using the LOW and LITE salt as a healthier alternative and to manage mine and my family’s sodium intake 🙌🏼

It’s fantastic because my food still tastes as delicious 😋 and no one can tell the difference.

Do you know salt is essential for our survival or do you think salt is bad 👎🏼 for you?

Do you feel like you need to cut down on your salt intake❓

I love 💞salt but keep the balance with less sodium which is actually the “unhealthy” element that salt is made up of.

I have been using Cerebos SA salt for years, but recently got introduced to their Low Salt – 50% less sodium and their Lite Salt – 35% sodium.

This is a great ⭐ alternative as I still get the delicious flavour but a healthier version.

Not ✋🏼 ❌ so much. There's something BIG missing 😣...

Call me spoilt right but trying to recover from a shoulder op, looking after Mark 👩🏼‍⚕️who is the epitome of Covid man flu 🤧 – bless him cause he is really sick 😷 - & trying to nurse 👩🏼‍⚕️ myself… add in 2 very confused demanding dogs 🐶....

The last thing I can manage is cleaning 🧹soooo...

SO what or who I miss the most 😔 is my 🥇amazing domestic & a clean house.

She not only keeps my house clean and tidy but also keeps me sane 🏡 really just a friendly face who I appreciate so much.

Thai Green Curry 🍛 is one of my go to dishes... the secret 🤫 to the awesome flavor 😋 is picking the right ✅ curry paste to use.

Once that is sorted ✅, it’s all about choosing YOUR favourite veggies 🥦🍆🥥🧄🥕 and protein 🍗🥩🍤 (or you could leave out the protein as a vegetarian option) based on what you have on hand ✋🏼 to make this curry.

It's gluten & dairy free, paleo, economical and really easy to make 🥳

I generally make this in bulk as it keeps well – actually, tastes 😋 better a few days later as the curry 🥘 infuses more.

Do you avoid weight training⁉️

Generally, women tend to avoid 🚫 training with weights 🏋🏼‍♀️because they think they won’t lose as much weight as cardio, it'll make them bulky 💪🏼 & the most common is that you need to use equipment 🥌 or go to the gym BUT these are all myths 😱

My favorite thing is to write 📝 an exercise program that includes weight training 🏋🏼‍♀️& set a challenge to prove me wrong 🤸🏼‍♀️

Here some of the benefits of strength training:
💪🏼Builds lean muscle tissue.
🤸🏼‍♀️Strengthens bones & connective tissue.
💪🏼Keeps your body strong & injury-free for better quality cardio workouts.
🤸🏼‍♀️Reduces stress & boost your mood.
💪🏼Helps you live a longer independent life.
🤸🏼‍♀️Increases quality of sleep 😴
💪🏼Raises 👆🏼 your metabolism.

Remember 🤔, muscle is more active than fat and

1️⃣kg of muscle 💪🏼 burns anywhere from 10 - 20 cal a day, while 1️⃣kg of fat burns 🔥 only 2 - 5 cal a day.

Also muscle is more dense than fat so takes up less space 👏🏼

This means when you lose fat & gain muscle, you'll be slimmer & trimmer 💃

I am grateful 🙏🏼 for keeping active 🤸🏼‍♀️, fit and healthy so I have the upper hand on this (lack of words)...

BUT ⛔ it's just food, and you should never feel guilty about wanting the occasional cookie 🍪, glass of wine 🍷, pizza🍕 or a slice of chocolate cake 🍰. It’s all about balance.

A positive mindset 💡 is essential for weight loss success and to keeping you motivated 🤸🏼‍♀️

You need to identify the thoughts 💭 that deflate you and work towards changing them.

As a mother I believe I not only have the privilege but also the responsibility of teaching my son to live a healthy, active, and vibrant life.

So, I’ve always encouraged him to participate in as many sporting or activities as he enjoys.

Then… lock-down threw a curve ball. I have had to change the kind of activities and sport he’s played to keep him active.

We are signing up for a 10km virtual race… & the prize is… drum roll… bragging rights.

Where are my brussels sprout fans 🥳 at⁉️

As a kid, I despised 🤢 brussels sprouts but now finding creative ways to use this healthy 🍎 low calorie veg 🥒 as a sub for all those high calorie 🍩 snacks and sides I can’t get enough of them 🏆

These crispy Brussel sprouts with a Dijon aioli dip are super versatile 👌🏼 and if you use the herbs 🥙 and spices, you enjoy you won’t go wrong ✅

Experimenting with different combinations 💡 I have even got my son loving 💞them.
You can also apply this recipe with different veg

Who said eating healthy is bland and boring and more importantly expensive 🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you really need to drink 8️⃣glasses or 2 liters of water 💦 per day⁉️

Not to burst anyone’s water bottle, but this notion is a myth 😱

Individual water 💦 needs vary from person 👩🏼‍🦰 to person 🧔🏻 and depends mainly on these 4️⃣ factors.

💠Body weight
💠Environmental temperature 🌡
💠Physical activity levels ⛹🏽‍♀️
💠Metabolism and kidney function

If kidneys 🏥 could talk, they would say that hydration challenges represent nothing more than a highly marketed peeing contests 🤣.

The “one size fits all” fluid replacement strategy, such as drinking eight glasses or… or… or… is not ✋🏼 suitable for everyone ❌

Cravings are very common 😬 that voice is your head is at its most creative 🎨 when or wants something...🍔🥧🧋

Fact is almost everyone experiences cravings, 🍕🍩 especially if you're on a diet.

They also play a major role in weight gain, food addiction and binge eating‼️

Being aware 🤔💭 of your cravings and the triggers makes them much easier to avoid ❌

It also makes it a lot easier to eat healthy and lose weight 🍏✅
Some tips, such as 🔅eating more protein, 🔅planning your meals, and 🔅practicing mindfulness, may allow you to take charge 💪🏼👊🏼next time cravings try to take over.

Who doesn’t want an easy, healthy 🍎, economical 💰and tasty family recipe 🥘 that you can make in bulk & freeze⁉️

This teriyaki chicken 🍗 stir fry with vegetables is so versatile & comes together in a flash ⚡ with everyday ingredients.

Feel free to vary the veggies according to what’s in season or what you love 💞

The main idea 💡 with stir fry’s is to keep the pieces of veggies sized & sliced so they cook at the same rate & to make sure you don’t over cook the meat 🍖

I make this in bulk to freeze ❄️ but also pack a couple of containers for lunch the next day because it is weirdly good cold, (but that could just be me 💪🏼)
