I've had the pleasure to see this girl grow her talent at from the first time I did their studio's photos, and love seeing her dedication pay off, you are AMAZING!

Today 4 years ago... Lockdown memories, partaking in ODP challenges, so had to experiment with this motion blur effect in our garage studio.

I had the privilege to work with which is truly an ambassador for dance and creating ART with dance! Thanks Alethea!!!!

After all the amazing moves he had and pretty lines, I just wanted something "weird" and this guy just understood what I wanted, all I had to do is ask for a "plié and push away your knees and push your shoulder down like in a stretch". And he delivered!

So I hang out in quite often, and noticed a while ago that they are celebrating their 30th anniversary and thought it might be a good idea to share a few snaps from the shoot I had there back in 2017 with and . Lovely memory.

Excited for the locations shoots I have booked so far for the holidays. Haven't done much location shoots the past few months, mostly studio shoots.

Had the honour again to photograph the ADPA-Association of Dance and Performing Arts Rising Star Festival!

As I stood there to get ready and saw dancers and families enter the hall, I honestly had a moment of gratitude for being able to say I really know "my clients" by now, my clients have become more than just clients. They feel like a dance family.

El'Shebang - Dance.Body.Soul

I don't often post anything other than dance... BUT this post is about an extremely kind-hearted dance teacher. MANY know her. She won a prize at Saxby Superspar & Tops to add as much as she can to her trolley for 2 minutes, she decided not to take anything for herself, but immediately went straight to the dog food. She loaded over R4000 worth of dog and cat food. Which she donated to Thaba Tswane animal rescue. This says so much of the type of person she is, ALWAYS thinking of others and ready to help out where she can!!!!

what can I say, where to begin... The studio that have been loyal for ao many years. always willing and keen to shoot. The teacher that gets sooooo many of her students reasy and excited for photo shoot week. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
So excited for what we have planned for this year, another new concept...

In dance photography timing is everything! The actions have a peek of a few milliseconds and that's one of the things at the beginning of my dance photography career that motivated me! To take a shot and immediately check to see if I got it, now it has become second nature and still LOVE to take action shots!!!!

Just want to take the time to thank Antoinize Hugo from D2B studios. We started our journey together 5 years ago, and ever since we have loved working together, she was one of the first people to trust me in my photography skills and TIMING, and now knows that she can expect her dancers to deliver LOTS of dance poses during a shoot of 10 minutes. Antoinize truly just knows how to get the best out her dancers during a photo shoot and I LOVE it, it also keeps me on my toes!!!!

I got to know Joubert Jonker as a judge and MC, didn't know him in his "dancing days", but have heard a lot about "Jooba" and his dancing, SOOOO it was actually quite fun to see him jam it out very casually while MCing the spectacular show of Michelle Leibrandt School of Dance last night. So much talent on one stage!
