Be prepared to get wet feet on the prologue run!

PROLOGUE

You are in for a treat! Gorgeous trail along the riverside.

There will be ONE prologue race for all runners, 20, 30 & 40k!

The prologue will be at 4pm for everyone, so you have plenty of time to settle in and get registration and kit check out of the way.

We'll be ready for you from 12 noon.

Clear starry skies, a bright moon and a fire .... what more could you want?

If you are traveling from PE, a couple of hints and updates:

If you take the Swartkops road to Uitenhage, you'll be rewarded with flocks of lovely flamingos very close to the road! 🦩🦩🦩

The road after Uitenhage is not great! Take it easy, avoid the potholes!

There is a stop/go which might hold you up for up to twenty minutes, so allow a little extra traveling time 😉.

The aloes are magnificent along the gravel road, and keep an eye out for game as you drive! 🦓🦌🦒

Please see below for updated route into Kleinrivier Mountain Escapes this weekend.

We are no longer using the first turn in. We are now using the main entrance (approx. 7kms further along the dirt road).

We have emailed all entrants this morning as well, so please check your inboxes.

DIRECTIONS:

From PORT ELIZABETH/GQEBERHA:

Take the R75 towards Graaff-Reinet.

Turn Left onto the COCKSCOMB road (gravel) 11.8km after the UITENHAGE NORTH exit. ​

Follow this road for about 22km and look for the Live Adventure banners & the main Kleinrivier entrance sign on the left to enter through the gate.

Follow this farm road through 6 gates as it swings left to Kleinrivier.

FROM GRAAF REINET:
Take the R75 towards Uitenhage/Kariega.

Turn Right onto the COCKSCOMB road (gravel).

Follow this road for about 22km and look for the Live Adventure banners & the main Kleinrivier entrance sign on the left to enter through the gate.

Follow this farm road through 6 gates as it swings left to Kleinrivier.

NB - Google maps will tell you to take the shorter Glenconner turnoff (the old way in).

DO NOT take this turnoff as there are locked gates, and you will not get through!

Follow the blue route as outlined on the map below.

Please remember to close all gates behind you!
