A very happy tale - Tiger went missing 2 years ago from Westlake, when Reddam school put up their perimeter fence - he was caught on their side of the fence. We had seen him once, and on the occasions of searching for him, he was never seen. The groundsman and security were given FGMK's cell number in case he turned up. This past Thursday, he was found by@ Hope Mostert. Taken to TEARS and was recognized by FGMK. He was microchipped, and returned home on Saturday, to a very happy owner. Thank you all involved in his rescue.

So happy to get feed back from our adopted animals from Westlake. This JR has hit the jackpot!

Home coming happiness.
Home coming happiness! Yeeha!

I got a call from Steenberg Vet yesterday morning. This dog had been brought in, as was in the traffic outside of Westlake. I managed to ID her, and contact her owner, who went to collect her immediately. Naughty Leo! Thank you to the person who found her and cared enough to prevent her from being knocked over.

Mick in foster home
Please help us find a loving home for this boy named Mick, by sharing this add. He came from Westlake (see first pic of how he lived) and now having been in foster care, he has lapped up the love and comforts that all dogs should get. Mick is an exceptionally sweet, affectionate, cuddly and loyal medium size Africanis in need of a new home. Mick Male 2 years old All vaccinations are up to date Neutered Will be microchipped Friendly with: Dogs: yes Cats: yes and no. he sometimes thimks they are up for a game Adults: yes Children: yes Although he is a very playful and high energy boy, when you are away, he is very self-containing and doesn't bark often. He has been rescued from a life on a chain, having been stabbed too, he has some fear-based tendencies, but with some TLC he will become the most wonderfully spirited dog around. He is very playful and loving. Fur- Get-Me-Knot was part of the demonstration march against the live export of animals in Cape Town today. Cannot believe that this is still allowed in 2020 - it is cruel, barbaric, unhygienic and unnecessary. The pain, suffering and abysmal conditions in high temperatures that these poor creatures have to endure on a 3 week journey is just shocking - and then to be slaughtered without being stunned. How inhumane the human species is! Let's keep the pressure on the authorities going and hopefully we can get this halted for ever. Thank you for the pics Inge.
