Lovella Foaming Lash Cleanser

Used to remove all make-up and traces of oil. Prevents eyelash mites and blepharitis as well as promoting overall eye hygiene. To be used on a daily basis to cleanse lash extensions and as a result, improving lash retention.

Do I really need to use a facial moisturiser?
For the majority, the answer is yes. Even though your body has its own natural lubricating system consisting of glands that secrete oil (or sebum) to maintain a protective coating against harsh outside conditions and infections, most of us do need extra hydration after the havoc that sun, weather and harsh chemicals wreak on our skin.

There are also some people who genetically lack the ability to keep the top layer of skin intact and are missing the necessary lipids to seal in moisture. Some medications (namely cholesterol-lowering agents and isotretinoin) can also affect the skin’s ability to adequately maintain hydration. If you happen to be one of those people you would benefit from a daily moisturizer.

Adding additional products such as serums and facial oils can also be beneficial, depending on what your skin needs and what results your are trying to achieve.

What does an ideal start-up skincare routine look like?

Morning:
- Cleanse

Ombre Powder Pixel Brows Aftercare Instructions:
• Do not touch your brows for the first 24 hours.
• Do not use cosmetics, soap or oil on the treated area.
• Do not get the treated area wet with water at all until the eyebrows have scabbed completely.
• Bathing as opposed to showering is recommended during the healing process.
• Only dab your brows gently with a clean tissue. The scabs will fall off with the natural healing process. If you pick or scratch the scabs, you will cause scarring.
• No tanning, excessive exercise, sweating, saunas, and swimming! Please also avoid direct sunlight and absolutely no form of chemical peeling or facial treatments on the treated areas
• Only use the aftercare cream provided, anything else may cause an allergic reaction.
• Apply the cream sparingly with a clean cotton swab each time.
• Apply aftercare cream only when the pigmented area feels tight (day 3).
• Apply the aftercare cream twice a day, morning and night, until it is finished.

Skin discolouration / pigmentation
Skin discoloration, also called hyperpigmentation, occurs when your skin produces excess pigment in spots or larger patches across your body. Skin discolouration can appear in different forms as dark spots, age spots, post-acne marks or redness—and can show up differently on various skin tones. In general, lighter skin tones tend to be more prone to sunspots. Mid-range or medium skin tones are more prone to age spots and darker skin tones are more prone to acne marks. Skin discolouration often appears on your face and neck but can even show up on your hands and body!

What causes skin discolouration?
Skin discolouration occurs naturally in all skin types in response to an array of everyday occurrences, such as sun exposure, hormonal fluctuations, trauma from acne, cuts or burns. Other external factors that affect skin discolouration include taking medications like topical steroids or having low levels of Vitamin D.

Dark spots occur when your skin cells become damaged, for example, from UV exposure without wearing sunscreen. Your skin cells will ramp up the production of a pigment in your skin called melanin in response to heal the damage. This overproduction of melanin will darken your skin in the form of dark spots or patches.
