3 feb - that '70s boosh. yes a proper real life boosh just like the good old days, except this time it will be better because it's also a that '70s show, which means the tazers will be there and also it will be better organised than a typical boosh. please come.

in a last ditch effort to try and lure those with minor alcohol dependencies to strydom park tonight, we present you with... drinks specials. including the illustrious boosh special, made up of two shots of vodka and gently topped off with a refreshing spirit cooler. its intended purpose was to shake off the sunday barb and resuscitate saturday night's enthusiasm before bands started at mama's shebeen at 12.

lindo M starts at 19:15 tonight, leaving just enough time for you to get a drink for each hand and find a spot under the triangles.

this cold weather in joburg is making me feel alive. alive in the sense that the blanket i'm tucked under is full of bacteria, which is alive, and i am therefore alive by proxy. there is also, coincidentally, a lot of bacteria at sognage, so come and feel alive by proxy with us on friday night. there are other very talented bacteria performing too.

tomorrow looks to be a pleasant day spent at marks park for park live. we have heard rumblings that mark himself will be there. actually there's no apostrophe in marks park, so it might have just been a regular mark having a joke. i guess it's like an 'on your marks, get set, go' kind of marks. come hear more interesting facts that may or may not be true, as well as some mediocre live renditions of our songs at 11:45 tomorrow at said park. 11:45 is prime brunch time, so it's acceptable to be a little buzzed.

This time 10 years ago we hired a house just outside Harrismith, and set up a band room in the living room. The sole purpose was to make as much noise as we wanted and to finish up the writing of what was to become ‘Good Morning, Sunshine’. This was us listening back to some live recordings of the sessions. Tom stole a horse, Gad tried to catch chickens, and we broke a tooth when Ollie slapped Al across the face. Much of this revelry can be seen the Bikini Weather music video ☺️

A little flashback to us a whopping 10 years ago about to head out on another magical and sweaty dec tour! Go give all those out there some good lovies! Be safe out there! 😘

friends, we're playing three shows in the cape this weekend that we're very excited about. so excited that we forgot to post anything on facebook. so...

friday we're at district. it's where the assembly used to be. the last time we were in cape town it was still called the assembly. that's how long it's been since we were last in cape town. hoping for a good, sweaty show. we're on at 10pm and there are a bunch of really good bands on the bill. you should definitely go early and support them.

saturday we're at the beau constantia amphitheatre. this sounds very fancy, although we anticipate a lot of barefoot people. i don't know what time we're playing, but i've been told it's during the day. bring sunblock and/or an umbrella. actually umbrellas may not be allowed into the venue, so rather bring an anorak. if it's going to rain. i just checked the weather app and it says it isn't going to rain. maybe pack one just in case.

sunday we're at aandklas in stellenbosch. apparently varsity starts the next day, and what better way to see in the new term (are they called terms at varsity? semester?) than with a crisp hangover and a light sunburn? we're playing at 2pm and kloudink will also be playing, as well as our extra special friends, yndian mynah. this has a very booshy feeling to it. stellenboosh.
