The 100 Miler

With the Southern Drakensburg boasting some of the most spectacular views in South Africa, it was high time we got the wheels rolling on a fantastic new event show casing some of the most spectacular gravel riding in SA.

With a average elevation of 1900m above sea level the Maloti 100 Miler will be a challenge that takes your breath away in more than one way.

Starting in Barkly East riders will head off to the small Village of Rhodes where the Rhodes community will be serving breakfast on the go. Expect good food and good coffee after a tuff ride.

After the breakfast stop riders will be taking on the Naude’s Nek Pass, the 3rd highest pass in South Africa topping out at 2590m. This point will be reached at round about 100km into the race. Stop, take a breath, enjoy the highest refreshment station on the route, take a selfie and embrace the view.
