Meet Indi. He works with us in managing our Homefarm system at Makers Landing at the V&A Waterfront. He is a recruit of and his project. We have been supported by and worked with Ian and his team for a good 6 months now and the it's been a wonderful example of an ecosystem of shared value and opportunity. Indi Will soon begin doing bi-weekly deliveries of microgreens to business located within the V&A precinct.

Mixologists + Microgreens create innovative flavour sensations for cocktails. Imagine having a cocktail made for you with fresh ingredients being harvested in front of you and added to your drink? Coming to a cocktail bar near you.

Homefarm in the classroom. Nutritious food grown for the students and staff, by the students and staff.
It's an opportunity to learn first hand what it takes to grow and care for food. Lessons can cut across the life sciences and stem curriculums.

Sitting pretty in a cafe near you. Homefarm is expanding. We are currently rolling out these Commercial Homefarm systems to two new sites every month. We hope to have this up to 3 new sites every month soon... And who knows, maybe you'll see a Homefarm Commercial System in your favorite restaurant, cafe, or venue soon! Our latest installation at Sanlam head offices in Sandton, Johannesburg with their kitchen team.
They're quite taken aback by how quickly the crops grow, and want to know what kind of 'muthi'* we use 🤣.
For those non South Africans 'muthi' is a term to define traditional medicines, sometimes associated to the 'dark arts'.

A tray of crops grown on one of our Commercial Systems. These Homefarm grown crops are catching some natural sunlight while we keep them at one of our team's home, prior to them being delivered to a client's system.
The varieties here include Basil, Purple Basil, Pak Choi and recently germinated Parsley. They are grown in small pots which can be individually planted, placed and removed on our Commercial Systems which have a capacity of 120 of these pots.

Our Homefarm Commercial 'S' system now has 4 grow levels with only 8cm additional height but 25% more yield delivery per month!
We are obsessed with delivering maximum value to our clients and are excited about this improvement and what it means for our future customers.

Homefarm is very excited to announce that we have been selected, alongside 5 other startups, in the hardware technology space in South Africa to participate in Savant's intensive, investment readiness programme; Build2024 (Co-backed by the USAID investment fund for Soutern Africa).
The programme is geared to assist and prepare businesses for institutional funding and international growth by assisting with:
-Gap Analysis and closure
-Due Diligence and Dataroom preparedness
-High impact growth strategies, including international market exploration
-Fund raising, including grant funding
We are looking forward to the next phase in our growth journey, working closely with SAVANT and USAID.

Harvesting a tray of peas and then enjoying them in a classic dish of Bangers and Mash with peas. Nothing elevates a plate or heightens ones experience of the meal than a carefully selected microgreen as an ingredient and garnish.
