Here is something you need to know about clomiphen
-Clomiphen stumulate the release of gonadotropins, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and leuteinizing hormone (LH), which leads to the development and maturation of ovarian follicle, ovulation, and subsequent development and function of the coprus luteum, thus resulting in pregnancy.
-Clomiphen is not for every lady that is trying to conceive.
It is important to talk to your pharmacist before commencing any treatment.

ORAL THRUSH (Oral candidiasis): Is a fungal infection of mouth. It's not contagious ( meaning cannot be spread from one person to another).
SYMPTOMS OF ORAL THRUSH
*White patches in the mouth.
*Loss of taste or unpleasant taste in the mouth.
*Redness inside the mouth and throat.
*Painful, burning sensation in the mouth.
*Slight bleeding in the mouth.

Babies, young children and elderly people are at high risk of developing oral thrush.

PREVENTION OF ORAL THRUSH.
There are a number of things you can do to reduce your chances of developing oral thrush.
*Rinse your mouth after meal.
*Brush your teeth twice a day with a toothpaste that contains fluoride.
*Floss regularly.
*Brush your tongue, gums and inside your mouth with a soft brush twice a day.
*Stop smoking, if you smoke.
* Ensure that any condition you have, such as diabetes is well controlled.

TREATMENT OF ORAL THRUSH
* Nystatin:An antifungal mouthwash that you can swish in your mouth or swab in your baby's mouth.
*Fluconazole (diflucan):An antifungal medication.
*Clotrimazole: An antifungal medication.
*Itraconazole: An Oral antifungal medication that is used treat people who don't respond to other treatment for oral thrush.
* Amphotericin B. : A medication that is used to treat severe cases of oral thrush.
Infant may have several episodes of oral thrush in their first year of life.

A client comes with a prescription prescribed Finstaride , Tamsulosin and a cough mixture containing Chlorpheniramine(Piriton)🚩
The client complains that he has been having difficulties to pass urine and he thinks the condition isn’t getting better dispite taking the medicines prescribed.
After asking the client on what medicine he usually takes when ever he’s experiencing a cough or cold and his reply was Triphen expectorant and at times piriton
🍃Here is what you need to know about Over-the-counter cold and flu preparations that contain both antihistamines(like piriton)and decongestants .These products can create a “perfect storm” for men with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and could substantially worsen symptoms of BPH, make it harder to urinate and may trigger complete urinary retention.
🚩If you have prostate Enlargement Avoid antihistamines (piriton) and decongestants(pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine) containing products as thy may worsen the condition

A woman comes Complaining that her 3 months old child has become Anemic and she doesn’t know why that happened because there is no history of anaemia in the family.
A quick review of her drug history shows that while breastfeeding ,she was taking Microgynon(a combined oral contraceptive)🚩
🍃What you Need to know about COCs like microgynon is that they contain two hormone components estrogen and progesterone and the estrogen component in it will affect the quantity and quality of breastmilk if taken while breastfeeding.This will reduce the intake of vital minerals including iron by the infant making them prone to anaemia.

👉 The main factor associated with the development of acute paronychia is direct or indirect trauma to the cuticle or nail fold. This enables pathogens to inoculate the nail, resulting in infection.
👉Treatment options for acute paronychia include warm compresses; topical antibiotics, with or without corticosteroids; oral antibiotics; or surgical incision and drainage for more severe cases.

This is Gloria , when ever her 7 months old baby develops rash ,the solution is FunBact ,epiderm or hydrocortisone.

To whom it may concern! Stop mixing Triple action creams in your children's lotion or applying them directly . They're very dangerous and may have serious side effects on the child.

Triple action creams are topical corticosteroids that are meant to be used only when there's need for them and not as a regular cream.
👉Using high potent corticosteroids to treat that rash on your bundle of joy will cause a rebound rash.
⚠️Avoid them in infants at all costs unless authorized by a dermatologist

Before leaving the pharmacy always ask on how to use these Drugs and to the person dispensing,always give full instructions to the patient on how to dilute,use and store these drugs.
