HAPPY FRUIT DAY

We are bubbling with Vitamins, dietary fiber, healthy sugars and juicy fluids after our FRUIT DAY today at GOLDSTONE. We shared with our learners the importance of fruits and their benefits. We told them how "A fruit a day keeps the Doctor away". Finally each one of us had a taste or bite of at least one fruit. Our learners enjoyed the day! We thank our Parents/Guardians for the support and encourage them to endeavor to have our learners have at least one fruit everyday. Enjoy some random pics from the day.

NAME CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

To our esteemed Parents/Guardians that may have missed the announcement, followers, prospects. An important development that was beyond our control necessitated a name change. Having to change a name that was loved by Parents, learners, staff and indeed ourselves, was not an easy decision. So we had a task to try and change as little as possible. You will notice that only the name has changed, everything else has remained the same. More importantly, that applies to the ethos of the School. We trust the name "Goldstone School" will be loved just as much.

Enrollment is on for Middle Class, Reception, Grades 1, 2 and 3.

COMPETITION DAY

We had our learners compete against each other in their respective classes through fun games and activities ranging from Puzzles, Spellings, Reading, Math Quiz, and the evidently most fun "prick the egg while blind folded". We had fun while learning the arts of focus, tenacity, creativity, grit and excellence.

At the end of the games, probably after noticing some grumpy faces of a few of us that wanted to receive a Prize, one learner intimated that she had something to say. We allowed her to come to the front. In her actual words, "It is not about winning, its about learning and having fun". We found that really profound in the circumstances, especially coming from a little child. Thank you Kamindwa.

PAJAMA DAY

Last week Friday we had our Pajama Day at Bridgestone! We popped some pop corn, sat around some 'heat' and told some stories with some profound lessons for our learners and had a little fun. We also learnt not to try the roasting of marshmallows again 😄. Most importantly, we took the opportunity to tell our learners the importance of sleeping/resting well. We told them "NO WATCHING CARTOON LATE INTO THE NIGHT". Thank you Parents/Guardians for the support. We also wish our learners all the very best in their mid term assessments being conducted this week!
