COVID-19 NEGATIVE IMPACT ON ADOLESCENT SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE

Covid 19 has significantly disrupted nearly all aspects of daily life and health.
Change in sexual health increasing number of Sexual transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancies among Adolescents and youths
Health facilities shifting capacity of youth friendly services such as space and staff being repurposed to covid-19 services.
Closing schools to mitigate the spread of the virus this having implications on adolescents sexual reproductivehealth care as they often access such services or information during school.
change in service coverage across areas of adolescent sexual reproductive health care e.g pregnancy related and modern contraceptive care result in unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortion, unplanned births and death.
As well as added cost to the health system.

CONCLUSION /RECOMMENDATIONS
Covid 19 has a negative impact on sexual reproductive health care specifically regarding umet needs for modern contraceptives and SRHR services
*Adolescents should have continued access to SRHR services
* Emergency response during covid-19
*Stand alone and integrated youth friendly services
*Expanded services across urban and rural areas.

* schools to communicate clear about these services
