The Men of Honour

We dedicated time to educating young people about the importance of testing and knowing their HIV status. Additionally, with support from the Ministry of Health Zambia, the Lusaka District HIV & AIDS Committee - Lsk DHAC, the CIDRZ - the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), and other partners, we distributed 200 free HIV self-testing kits.

We believe fatherhood is a gift, and today, we celebrate all the wonderful fathers for their sacrifice and heroism.

At Men of Honour, we support youth to find and amplify their own voices. We believe in the capacity of young people to make informed decisions, especially on issues that directly impact their lives. Our mission is to support and uplift these voices, not to speak on their behalf.

On this day, we had an opportunity to have the presence of Mr. Jito Kayumba who is the Special Assistant to the President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema on matters Finance and Investment.

Motherhood to us represents "LIFE". And so on this special day we just want to say Happy Mothers Day to all the lovely mothers for giving us life and sharing your hearts with us.

Inside "The Men's Boardroom": 🎩

The discussion on Saturday 30.03.24 dug into the habits of adolescent boys and young men. We talked about things like morning routines and time management, seeing how they affect our behavior and character. We looked at both good habits, like exercising regularly, and bad ones, like spending too much time on screens. We also talked about how being honest and responsible builds our character, and how our habits shape who we are. "The Men's Boardroom" is all about helping each other grow and become better, so join us in the conversation!

Over 700 books have been graciously gifted to Men of Honour. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for this generous contribution, which aligns with our mission to foster a culture of reading among youth, elevate literacy rates, and enhance academic performance.

Being a dad comes with its challenges, so we're here to offer some tips to support you on your journey of fatherhood.

Male involvement in parenting and early childhood development is vital for children's growth and well-being. From playing together, to supporting school activities, fathers play a crucial role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters learning and development for their children.

Today 30.01.24 I am super excited to kickstart my Community Action Project sessions at On-On Football Academy. As a requirement for the Community Solutions Program (CSP) Fellowship, I am carrying out a 6-month community action project focused on adolescent boys aged 10 to 19. I will be utilizing the Coaching Boys Into Men Curriculum developed by Futures Without Violence. This program is evidence-based and aims to prevent violence by encouraging coaches to teach young athletes that strength should never be equated with violence, and that violence against women and girls is unacceptable. The project aims to reach a minimum of 100 boys through a 12-card series. By the project's end, participants will have increased awareness of violent behavior, know how to respect others, handle mental health issues, intervene when they witness violent behaviors in others and how to develop positive relationships.
