FACE IT, TILL YOU MAKE IT.

I generally have a problem with the popular notion of fake it till you make it.

Of course, the justification or the thinking behind the fake it till you make it concept is, that before you get to the place where you want to get to, you need to generate positive and good feelings about the place that you want to get to. And that good feeling, yes, it is very important. It is required as fuel to get you to the right place that you need to get to. But rather I'm a fan of FACE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT.

So, why face it till you make it? Why am I a fan of this school of thought? The simple straightforward answer is that it is because it encourages you. It reminds you. It compels you to do the work, the necessary work every day.

The facing part in reality is, what you need to face, conquer, or work out to rid that stumbling block standing in the way of the place you need to get to. These are things that actually keep you down or the things that are responsible for you not being the person that you want to be.

So when you face it, it means that you are not choosing to ignore the work that you need to do, but every day you work up and you choose to do the work that you need to do. And that grows your muscles. And the beauty about it, you could say in the fake it, till you make it, what you're trying to generate is positive feelings - But guess what? When you work with the face it till you make it, the process of doing the work every day generates a more satisfying feeling, which grows your muscle than the feeling that you get from facing it till you make it. Fake it till you make it has run many people into financial problems that they have never recovered from in pursuit of the FAKE IT lifestyle.

So maybe it's time we corrected our thinking from fake it till you make it to FACE IT, TILL YOU MAKE IT. Many people face what you are facing, find them, and seek wisdom and help. And then you are going to be a more genuine person who is going to grow the muscle and generate enough fuel that you need to take you to the place that we need to get. Trust me, there is more joy in FACING IT than faking it- just be ready to put in the work then JOY you shall experience.
