BOWMAN LUSAMBO DETAINED IN KABWE.

Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) Deputy Chairman for Mobilization Bowman Lusambo has been detained at Chowa Police station in Kabwe.

The former Kabushi Member of Parliament was summoned to appear for questioning after he was accused of unlawful assembly when he stopped by in Kabwe at big bite to buy a pie.

Mr. Lusambo attracted a crowd when he made a stop in Kabwe.

Party Secretary General Raphael Nakachinda has said Mr. Lusambo has been detained along with Provincial Chairperson Billy Sichamba and three other party leaders.

No official statement has been made by the police over the detention of Mr. Lusambo.

Power FM is still awaiting an official statement from the Commissioner of Police. We will keep updating the story.

UNZA STUDENTS TO CAMPAIGN FOR BOWMAN LUSAMBO University of Zambia students from Kabushi Constituency in Ndola have vowed to campaign for the re-election of former area Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo. Recently, Mr Lusambo lost his seat for Kabushi constituency as the Constitutional Court ruled that his election procured was by fraud and was marred with violence. Group Leader Joseph Mwila, a second year Political Science Student said the students are aggrieved by the decision of the Constitutional Court to nullify the election result. In a related development, Patriotic Front sympathizer Charles Kakula has conducted a sole protest of informing anyone that would like to challenge Mr Lusambo in the forthcoming by-election in Kabushi constituency that they will be just wasting their time and resources to contest.
