LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND CAPACITY-BUILDING MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

We had a powerhouse of 33 incredible participants from KAN Kitwe and KAN Ndola, all ready to dive into the world of leadership transition and servant leadership. 💪

Tafika sparked inspiration by emphasizing leadership transition and inclusivity, envisioning leaders nurturing others to sustain the vision, even in the face of commitments.

Philip then led a dynamic activity addressing favoritism, encouraging leaders to embrace suggestions, promote inclusivity, and mentor followers, resulting in a rollercoaster of insights and a powerful takeaway: leadership is a collaborative symphony where everyone plays a crucial role in breaking barriers and growing together. 🚀🌱💬

It wasn't just a program; it was a vibe!

Extreme Accountability Involves you taking full responsibility for things that go wrong, and always asking yourself what you could have done better, how you could fix the problem, and what you could do differently next time to avoid a repeat.

This weekend, we spent our time in Kafue to co-facilitate at a workshop organized by Vocal Master’s Class. Our Visionary Leader and founder of Kingdom Ambassadors Network Pastor Thomas Mupashi was the guest of honor. His teaching focused on “what makes a Christ Centered Leader”. He further reminded the participants that Christ Centered Leaders stand on two (2) legs and these are CHARACTER and CAPACITY.

KAN GAMES brought together students from Rusangu University, UNZA, Evelyn Hone, and Rockview University. In this unity, we find the strength to forge Christ-centered bonds and inspire transformation.

🌐 Connect and Thrive: KAN GAMES emphasizes the need for students to unite, learn, and network under the banner of Christ's teachings, allowing faith to guide our interactions.

💪 Leadership In Action: Students took charge, embodying Christ's leadership, and nurturing skills that reflect His compassion and guidance.

🌠 Beyond Campus Borders: Our shared faith blurs boundaries, forming networks grounded in love and the promise of a brighter, Christ-centered future.

CHRIST-CENTERED LEADERSHIP IN ACTION: INSIGHTS FROM MY KAN EXPERIENCE

KAN has been a transformative platform for me, particularly in terms of shaping my leadership skills to align beautifully with God's word.

Through my experiences with KAN, I've learned the importance of compassion, humility, and service, all of which are virtues emphasized in the teachings of the Bible. These lessons have profoundly impacted my approach to leadership. Just as Jesus exemplified servant leadership, KAN has taught me to lead by serving others, placing their needs ahead of my own, and being actively intentional about achieving my goals while fostering a sense of community and unity.

Furthermore, my involvement in KAN has deepened my faith and strengthened my connection to God. It has shown me that leadership isn't solely about guiding others but also about nurturing their spiritual growth and helping them discover their own God-given talents and purpose.

I am genuinely grateful for this journey and look forward to continuing to serve and lead in a way that honours both KAN's mission and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A fun picnic outing with the Rusangu team while unpacking the journey of Self Discovery. The atmosphere was filled with an insightful interaction session that painted each participant's best description of themselves.

KAN launched its 2022 programs with a 4 day workshop which was facilitated by Dr. Kirime Barine who is a public speaker, mentor, renowned author and a leadership development expert who is also passionate about Christ leadership and governance.

On Day 1, The Leadership Development Class focused on reviewing the “Leadership Foundation Resources” which is our core curriculum. During the session, expectations for the 6 months leadership program where set.

This session also highlighted key things like, VISION, CHARACTER and PASSION and these are important aspects to Christian and Market leaders.

Congratulations to Kingdom Ambassadors Network (KAN) Evelyn Hone leadership academy for successfully launching their 2022 students program implementation.

1. An overview of KAN and why it is such a unique platform to belong to.

2. Programs lined up for Kafue KAN in 2022 and how we can make Impact responding to our core mission and values.

3. To embrace the new leaders and team members as we begin the new year programing.

We successfully started our 2022 programs for our students at Rusangu University.

Our focus was on:
1. Help our students to understand why KAN was such a unique platform to belong to.

2. Help our students understand the programs lined up for 2022 and how they can make maximum use of them.

3. We also introduced the Rusangu University KAN student leaders to the team.

We congratulate the Rusangu team for successfully launching their 2022 programs.

The joy of any community is found in the vibrance of it's youth and its identify. Self-identity is important because it strengthens character. Most youth struggle with identifying who they are first in Christ and what they ought to be in the world as representatives of the kingdom of God sent on earth.
As a way of empowering youths with knowledge on Self-Identity, a training focused on key values and principles of unpacking self in Christ lenses was conducted to help make a difference in the world.

THE KEY TO SUCCESSFUL LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE, NOT AUTHORITY
A leader is best when people barely know he or she exists, when the work is done, the aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.

Leadership is action, not a position.
