Moisturizing and hydrating are terms often used interchangeably, but they serve slightly different functions when it comes to skin care:

Hydrating:
The purpose of hydrating is to adds water to the skin. Hydrators work by attracting moisture to the skin and increasing its water content. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin are common in hydrating products.

Benefits:
It helps to plump and smooth the skin, and can temporarily reduce the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration.

Hydrating Ingredients:

Hyaluronic Acid: Retains moisture.

Glycerin: Draws water to skin.

Propylene & Butylene Glycol: Attracts moisture.

Urea: Humectant and exfoliant.

Panthenol: Moisture retainer and barrier repair.

Moisturizing:
The purpose of Moisturising is to helps to lock in hydration and prevents the loss of water from the skin. Moisturizers usually contain ingredients like oils and butters that create a barrier on the skin's surface to seal in moisture.

Benefits:
Keeps skin soft, nourished, and prevents dryness or flakiness.

Moisturizing Ingredients:

Ceramides: Strengthens the skin barrier.

How To Properly Later Your Skincare Products.

Don't be like Nancy who wakes up in the morning, take, her bath and just rub groundnut oil.

She doesn't know her skintype neither does she have a clue on how to layer her products correctly if she decides to purchase them.

To avoid getting stuck like Nancy, here is a simple routine you can adopt using the right products.

Just apply your products in the following layer.

Cleanser

Toner

Serums

Eye cream

Moisturizer

Oil

SPF

Exfoliate 2-3 a week and that can happen after cleansing.

Note: you should wait 1 min between each product for your skin to absorb them.

HOW TO SCRUB

Rinse your skin in warm water.

Put a small amount of body scrub in your hand.

Gently rub it on your skin in small circular motions, using your hand or an exfoliating glove.

Scrub your skin gently for no longer than 30 seconds.

Rinse your skin liberally with lukewarm water.

Wash your skin using your regular cleanser. (You can also do this before.)

Shave, if desired.

Pat your skin dry.

Apply a moisturizer.

Body scrubs temporarily disrupt your skin barrier and can dry out skin. looking for a product with oil-free sources of moisture, such as ceramides, vitamin E, or hyaluronic acid.
Pro tip: Avoid using loofahs. they tend to be bacteria magnets.

Please note! Exfoliating agents are recommended to use no more than 1-3 times a week. The frequency will depend on the condition and needs of the skin.
