candle making

During the exploration phase, candle making was a new experience for many of the learners. While some had seen candle making done in homes before, a significant portion of the participants were trying their hand at it for the first time.

Engaging in the process of candle making can be a fun and creative hobby. It also presents the opportunity to turn it into a viable small business venture. By acquiring the necessary materials, tools, and techniques, individuals can craft a diverse range of unique, personalized candles.

Learning a skill like candle making, even if it seems small, can have a meaningful impact on one’s life and that of their family. With dedication and determination, this newfound skill has the potential to bring about positive changes.

The exploration phase allowed the learners to dive into the world of candle making, many for the first time. This hands-on experience opened up avenues for both personal fulfillment and potential entrepreneurial opportunities.

Mental health

Mental health awareness includes efforts to educate the public about mental health conditions, reduce stigma, and encourage people to seek help when needed.

At swizim trust every Wednesday we gather all the learners in order for them to have open discussions about mental health . Here are some aspects that we discuss during the sessions:

Reducing stigma and discrimination .Negative stereotypes and judgmental attitudes towards those with mental health problems can prevent people from seeking treatment.

Progress
Learners have now learnt to be opened about mental health issues as well as be aware of others mental health concerns.

Swizim Trust had the opportunity again this year to visit the Zimbabwe international Trade fair .

This is a platform that provides for businesses and organizations to connect with potential customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners.

They offer opportunities for face-to-face interactions, product demonstrations, and negotiations.

Trade-fair is a source of inspiration, sparking creativity and generating new ideas. Exposing the team to different products, designs, and approaches can inspire them to think outside the box and explore innovative solutions within our own work.

We are always grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait for next year .

At SwiZim Trust, we're committed to nurturing the health and safety of our community members. Our holistic approach encompasses comprehensive measures to ensure the well-being of all.

Through impactful programs, we address critical issues affecting vulnerable populations. Our menstrual health education and awareness campaigns not only combat school dropout rates among girls but also promote reproductive health and empower voung women to make informed choices.

We understand the unique challenges faced by single mothers and pregnant teens, which is why we've established support groups to provide them with the necessary resources and guidance. By fostering a supportive community, we're helping these individuals navigate their journey with resilience and hope.

Additionally, we extend our support to child-headed homes, ensuring that children can pursue their education without worrying about their survival. Through our collective efforts, we're building a safer, healthier future for all members of our community.
