What are our SWIFT classes?
These classes are quick burst classes approximately a 50min class packed into half an hour. You can push as hard or as much as you can during this time. That’s why it’s the perfect class for any level of rebounder because you take it completely at your own pace.

As with all our classes whether it’s a sculpt and tone or a cardio burst you do what YOU can do 🙌🏻

We don’t just bounce for 45 minutes 😂 our sculpt & tone classes incorporate a variety of equipment such as dumbbells, resistance bands, Pilates balls and aerobic bars. Due to the force of gravity we go against it to create extra weight - 3x the weight of your dumbbell!

On a personal note - I have found rebounding to be the best form of exercise and has shaped my body in a way that honestly I feel so strong and fit! Mentally it’s also helped me as I’ve battled depression - you can’t overthink when you bouncing 😉

But do you BOUNCE? There is something about grooving to the music on a rebounder that is just so fun and (challenging)! Luckily we have bounce classes everyday to suit different fitness levels form beginners to advanced. So don’t be shy, give it a try!

Come bounce with us at 56 kingsmead from the 1st of June. Did you know regular rebounding helps detox the lymphatic system, which is the only part of your body which isn’t self sustaining. Regular bouncing drains the lymphatic system and it therefore improves immunity! We can’t say enough about bounce.

WHY REBOUND?

“Gravity is one of the fundamental universal forces which CONTINUALLY influences your posture and health! Our relationship with gravity continually influences our growth and movement. From birth, gravity challenges the first lifting of your head, then sitting, crawling, standing, bouncing, walking, running…every single day…moving against gravity strengthens and develops your body!

Your poor relationship with gravity may be responsible for spinal compression, impaired circulation, disc degeneration and a diminished functioning of glands, tissues and cells.

NASA carried out the first ever scientific research into using a mini trampoline in their astronaut programme which concluded that “rebounding exercises provide a more effective and efficient form of exercise than jogging”. One of the many reasons why NASA’s astronauts are put straight onto a 12-week rebounding programme after returning from space. Astronauts are at a greater risk of developing osteoporosis as they lose up to 15% of their total muscle mass and bone density in space, due to zero gravity.

Rebounding is one of the quickest ways to rebuild muscle mass and improve overall strength and fitness levels. Why? The pull of the G-force is increased 2/3 times (whilst aligning gravity, acceleration and deceleration) without shock or stress impact loading on your body. This rhythmic motion, when rebounding approximately 60 times per minute, places all cells, from the tiniest cell to the largest bone and muscle, under consistent rhythmical pressure, stimulating remarkable effects…detoxifying, nourishing, and strengthening all body cells simultaneously!

…AND it significantly drains/detoxes/pumps your lymphatic system! It does this so well that in some medical circles it’s considered an exercise that generates a natural and healthy anti-biotic reaction in your body!

My journey into rebounding came about very unexpectedly, a really good friend pushed me and encouraged to pursue this, you know who you are 😉 I battled severe depression since December 21 and I’ve found rebounding to be a life saver - when I rebound I focus only on the present and what I’m doing appreciating my body, mind and spirit. This is what pushed me to pursue this avenue and creat the movement lab to truly find the joy in movement and I hope my journey can be a testimony to how exercise truly can bring healing 🙌🏻
