Spoken Word & Writers Association-SWWA
SWWA is the fastest rising arts organisation in the country. We promote literal and performing arts.
Dear Esteemed Poetry Event Planners,
I trust this message finds you well and filled with enthusiasm as you embark on a new week filled with possibilities and opportunities.
In my journey as an event planner, I have come to recognize the marginalized nature of the poetry sector within the realm of art forms. It's evident that most poetry events tend to cater primarily to poets themselves, inadvertently neglecting a vast and untapped market. A lack of robust marketing strategies further compounds this issue, often limiting event promotion to platforms such as WhatsApp, leaving these events susceptible to underwhelming turnouts.
While I admit that my own marketing efforts have not been flawless, I am motivated to rally all of us toward a common goal - the triumph of poetry events. Collaboration and mutual endorsement can be powerful tools in amplifying our collective impact, fostering a spirit of unity and shared success rather than succumbing to individual egos.
Recently, I made the decision to reschedule an upcoming event originally slated for the 11th of August, despite its considerable traction. This adjustment presents a prime opportunity to expand our outreach and engage with the previously unexplored market.
I may not be able to reach everyone directly, but I firmly believe that there are individuals out there who are equally passionate about effecting positive change. I invite you to connect with me at your earliest convenience to explore potential collaborations and discuss how we can collectively contribute to the growth and success of poetry events. You can reach me at +263775601283 or +263788933219.
Warm regards,
Lennox Gondo

Here is an official statement in regards to the Spoken Word & Writers Awards
đ
Good Morning, Everyone! đ
Life is a journey filled with challenges, and it's okay to face hard times, stumble, and even be criticized. These experiences provide us with opportunities to learn and grow. When you fall, remember to gather yourself, rise again, and keep striving until you achieve the results you desire.
As you climb higher in life, you'll encounter stronger winds, symbolizing the increased effort required to maintain your position. Whether in business or any organization, reaching the top brings greater responsibilities and the eyes of many upon you. It's natural to face scrutiny from such heights, but remember that it's all part of the process. The more intense the storm, the sweeter the victory.
So, no matter the challenges you face, keep in mind that they are stepping stones to success. Embrace the struggles, for they mold you into a stronger, more resilient individual. Have a fantastic day and stay positive as you navigate through life's journey!
Warm regards,
SWWA Administration.
Good morning!
As we step into a new day, let's set our intentions on cultivating a positive mindset. It's crucial to approach our professional endeavors with a clear and optimistic outlook, knowing that our attitude can shape the outcomes we desire.
In our journey through work and life, it's essential to be discerning about the company we keep. Surrounding ourselves with positive, supportive individuals can uplift and inspire us, while being cautious about those who may seek to manipulate or undermine our well-being is equally important.
Let's strive to maintain a boundary between our professional and personal lives, ensuring that our interactions at work are rooted in respect, professionalism, and integrity. By doing so, we create a healthier environment for ourselves and our colleagues, fostering trust and success in our endeavors.
Remember, by being mindful of who we allow into our inner circle, we can protect ourselves from potential harm and safeguard our well-being. Let's embark on this day with a positive mindset and a commitment to upholding the standards of honesty and authenticity in our professional and personal interactions.
Have a wonderful and productive day ahead!

Spoken Word Poets are crying for more opportunities especially from radios and tv stations.
What are the worst challenges that youâve faced as a poet?
Itâs not easy to be recognised as a poet.
An Extract from the book
The Prince Of Zaka
My ink
I donât write much
I donât talk much
I read a lot
Listen a lot
I donât think much
I donât know much
I write to see
If I have anything in mind
I write to see
If I can understand myself
My ink Is inspired by life
The intertwined cosmic patterns
After all itâs inspired by God
I discovered that I know nothing at all
& I donât know if my ink can ever be enough

WATTPAD:
Vuyisile also known as Night is a 24 year old poet by nature. She is one who seeks to be recognised by her talent not her certificate. Her focus in poetry is looking at the matters of depression and self-harm: how people deal with it and how society perceive the issue if and not they include GOD or not for healing. She tries to look at the differences of the western side and the African society, For she notes how different traditions take the matter seriously.
Night also does volunteer work at Prison outreach Support. Having developed a liking to children of prisoners, she looks at their disadvantaged side, how they have to cope with a parent who by the way is mainly the breadwinner being taken to prison.
She has worked with various organisations these include Meikles Foundation, River of life and the ZPCS to try bring hope and reintegration to the families.
Her goal is to bring light to the sad hearted
Her goal is to bring peace to her soul through words as she pens them down!}
