It's a lovely sunny day today and our girls, and us, are excited to introduce their foals!
Narina Alamein, welcomes her filly Rameen Shai by Rand (USA).
Alamein is granddaughter of Tehama Na Sidaqa, one of Zimbabwe's finest exports, now standing in the UAE. He is the sire of Tehama Ballalina, celebrated world champion Arabian horse with numerous awards and accolades to her name.
Rand (USA), the only known son of World Champion Stallion , Simeon Shai. This is Rand's first foal in nearly 15 years! For more information on Simeon Shai, watch this following video...

Our Stud Manager, has been sitting on a secret the last six months. In the midst of the busyness of work, planning foalings and dealing with personal issues, he still found the time to slowly work on this portrait of Jericho Namutoni (ZA).

Nothing quickens the heart more than the anticipation of a new chapter!
Here's one of our special foundation mares, Narina Alamein, enjoying the rich pasture only a few days away from her foaling window. The foal, by Rand (USA), will definitely be a stunner!

We are beyond words here at Hippo Creek Arabians! It is with gratitude and great pride we celebrate the news that one of our stallions, Khwareno Kamaal-Shah was named WAHO (World Arabian Horse Organization) Trophy winner for 2022! Our gratitude also extend to Matt Harwin, the president of the Arabian Horse Society of Zimbabwe, whose tireless efforts and dedication to the rebirth of the Society in Zimbabwe!

Bred by the respectable, renowned and honored breeder of our time Connie Hull, Khwareno Kamaal-Shah is indeed a picture of perfection, with such a great and yet engaging personality, not to mention his great contribution to the Arabian breed both as an athlete and as a sire, even at such a young age. Rich with respected Russian lines with a flair "of elegence", Kamaal Shah surely breeds true to type. We are equally proud that both his sons have found a new home together!
As the name suggests, he is truly " a ruler of exquisite perfection and completion"...(Collins Dictionary).

It's day 3 today!!! Awesome horses in the dressage category!

The annual Namibian Arabian Horse Open Championship is currently in full swing in Windhoek and our Directors Josh and Gary Stafford as well as a part of the Arabian Horse Society of Zimbabwe are also in attendance as honorary guests! We are so thrilled, not only because of the opportunity to be part of an overgrowing global Arab horse community but also to witness such stunning bloodlines! What a privilege it is!!!

Another super day at the office today! One of our stallions, Kamaal-Shah, going out on a morning ride with one of his friends aboard. Isn't he just stunning!?

Here at Hippo Creek Arabians, the best way to enjoy a props horseback ride is to bush it! We love our Arabians and they love exploring the area just as much as we do. With the annual 21km Chivero Challenge happening this coming weekend, it's such a beautiful thing seeing amazing people and Arab horse breeders bringing their horses for the event!

Out rides and trail rides are what we love to do out here at Hippo Creek Arabians. Nothing beats the tranquility and peace that comes after every ride. Our Arabians live for the outdoors, nibbling the grass as we go through the bush, and as for these two girls, Malona the buckskin Quarterhorse/Arab and Shaylyn the AngloArab it's pure bliss.

The first AGM for the newly formed Arabian Horse Society of Zimbabwe was held this previous Sunday at the Kuimba
Shiri Bird Park. Arabian horse breeders and enthusiasts converged at the picturesque venue which is the home of Hippo Creek Arabians.
